1:06 Speaker 2: in nineteen fifty three. So there are so many lessons

1:09 Speaker 2: that we can take away the same way they climbed

1:11 Speaker 2: Mount Everest. You and I need to climb the mountain

1:15 Speaker 2: of calling that God has for us, the mountain of

1:17 Speaker 2: purpose that God has for us. And sometimes it's not

1:20 Speaker 2: easy to do that. And we are looking at various

1:22 Speaker 2: practical things to keep in mind when we are climbing

1:25 Speaker 2: or ascending the mountain of calling that God has for us.

1:29 Speaker 2: So today I want to talk about one important aspect.

1:32 Speaker 2: Right when you're climbing to the top of the Everest,

1:36 Speaker 2: especially right after Cam three, the weather condition is very unpredictable,

1:43 Speaker 2: and what happens is that the winds are very very strong.

1:47 Speaker 2: So even if I want to communicate with you, if

1:49 Speaker 2: I want to if I get an opportunity to go there,

1:52 Speaker 2: and even if I want to make a video right

1:54 Speaker 2: from there, you will not be able to hear anything

1:56 Speaker 2: because the wind is blowing. Even when you go to

2:01 Speaker 2: Camp FOURD, for example, one of the final camps before

2:04 Speaker 2: making the push to the summit, it's so windy you

2:08 Speaker 2: can't hear anything. It's so noisy, you can't even talk

2:11 Speaker 2: to the person in front of you. It's some place

2:14 Speaker 2: you just can't be. And you need to understand in

2:18 Speaker 2: the midst of this, there are people who are able

2:20 Speaker 2: to communicate, you know how they communicate with the outside

2:23 Speaker 2: world through satellite phones, or they also communicate with the

2:27 Speaker 2: base camp, and they share all the needed information about

2:32 Speaker 2: upcoming weather changes or pocasts or whatever that they're facing.

2:36 Speaker 2: It can be something sudden or whatever. All of this

2:39 Speaker 2: comes through the satellite phones or through the radio that

2:43 Speaker 2: they use over there. So I wanted to understand, right,

2:47 Speaker 2: you can't go by making decisions based on what somebody

2:51 Speaker 2: else is saying over there. You have to make decisions

2:53 Speaker 2: based on what you hear through the radio or through

2:56 Speaker 2: the satellite phone. Because I shared this with you in

2:59 Speaker 2: my previous segment as well, that this is a place

3:02 Speaker 2: where you can't even make rational decisions. This is a

3:05 Speaker 2: place where you can't even decide for yourself. You can't

3:08 Speaker 2: see properly. Your body's literally dying because this is known

3:11 Speaker 2: as the death zone, the zone where there's only one

3:14 Speaker 2: third of oxygen. What is over here when you're on

3:17 Speaker 2: ground zero. So here's the thing I want to understand.

3:20 Speaker 2: So in literal life. In literal life, you may be saying, John,

3:25 Speaker 2: you know what, I have a calling and a purpose,

3:27 Speaker 2: but different people are giving me different ideas. Somebody is

3:30 Speaker 2: saying I should do this somebody else is saying this

3:32 Speaker 2: will not work out. Somebody else is saying that, you

3:34 Speaker 2: know what, you're dreaming too big. Somebody else is saying

3:36 Speaker 2: that I don't have enough faith. So people may give

3:38 Speaker 2: you different ideas. They may say do this, do that,

3:41 Speaker 2: don't do this, or they may say certain things that

3:44 Speaker 2: they know out of their experience and their knowledge. They

3:47 Speaker 2: may be telling you something. They may mean, well, but

3:49 Speaker 2: I wanted to understand. They did not create you. They

3:52 Speaker 2: did not have the plan and purpose of God as

3:55 Speaker 2: for you. So you have to be in that position

3:58 Speaker 2: where you're saying, you know what, I'm not going to

3:59 Speaker 2: listen to this person or that person and the noise

4:02 Speaker 2: that's around me. I'm going to stay tuned to listen

4:05 Speaker 2: to the word of God, to the voice of God,

4:09 Speaker 2: so the same way they listen only to the communication

4:12 Speaker 2: that comes through the radio or through satellite. For you

4:15 Speaker 2: need to be in a place, the Bible says in

4:17 Speaker 2: Isaiah thirty twenty one, Behold, there's a voice behind you

4:20 Speaker 2: telling you which way you need to go, with a

4:22 Speaker 2: turn to the left or to the right. So I

4:24 Speaker 2: want you to understand you need to develop your work

4:27 Speaker 2: with the Lord, your relationship with God to a point

4:30 Speaker 2: where you are only relying on hearing his voice. You

4:34 Speaker 2: only rely on what the Lord is telling you. Even

4:37 Speaker 2: in the midst of all the noise, you hear the

4:39 Speaker 2: voice of God. In the midst of all the confusion.

4:42 Speaker 2: You bring clarity, or you get clarity from the voice

4:46 Speaker 2: of God. People may tell you one hundred things, but

4:51 Speaker 2: what is the Lord telling you? You need to pay

4:53 Speaker 2: attention to that. That is what will give you the

4:56 Speaker 2: grace to actually be successful in getting to the top

5:01 Speaker 2: of the summit. And like they go to the summit

5:05 Speaker 2: and they're excited, yay, I climb to the top of

5:07 Speaker 2: Mount Everest, You'll be able to go to the top

5:10 Speaker 2: of your summit of purpose and calling, and you'll be

5:13 Speaker 2: able to hear from the Lord saying, well done, my

5:16 Speaker 2: good and faithful servant. How can you do that when

5:19 Speaker 2: you cut off all the noise and you are determined

5:23 Speaker 2: to only focus and to obey the voice of God

5:28 Speaker 2: away your life. I want to share this personal testimony

5:32 Speaker 2: again with you guys, because I believe I've been sharing

5:34 Speaker 2: quite a bit of my person's testimony in this series,

5:37 Speaker 2: and I really believe this is going to encourage you

5:39 Speaker 2: and help you, because there was a season when I

5:42 Speaker 2: lost my job because of a mass layoff, and I did,

5:45 Speaker 2: and there are a lot of people saying, you know what,

5:47 Speaker 2: just get some job. There's intense pressure, immense pressure from people.

5:52 Speaker 2: People were saying, don't be choosy, just get some job.

5:55 Speaker 2: Life is more important. Ministry can take a break, you know,

5:59 Speaker 2: all of these things, different things people were saying over

6:01 Speaker 2: and over and over and over again. But I didn't

6:04 Speaker 2: have that conviction. In fact, the Lord showed me a

6:07 Speaker 2: vision right on the week. I mean, in fact, he

6:10 Speaker 2: showed me a vision two weeks before losing the job

6:13 Speaker 2: that I will actually lose my job. So I knew

6:15 Speaker 2: the Lord was leading. And so right on the week

6:18 Speaker 2: I lost my job, the Lord showed me at the

6:21 Speaker 2: right time, I'm going to open a door no man

6:24 Speaker 2: can shut. So I knew the Lord was going to

6:27 Speaker 2: do it, and he gave me the grace to stand

6:31 Speaker 2: my ground on my conviction. I said, God, I know

6:33 Speaker 2: I need a job because I'm an able to space engineer. Okay,

6:38 Speaker 2: I work and I've been running the ministry, and I said, God,

6:41 Speaker 2: I need a job, but I don't want a job

6:44 Speaker 2: that will choke my calling because I worked in jobs

6:47 Speaker 2: that have been so strenuous. I used to work for

6:50 Speaker 2: seventeen hours a day. I'm not kidding. Okay, there was

6:53 Speaker 2: one of the jobs where I've worked for five out

6:55 Speaker 2: years where I would leave home at five in the

6:59 Speaker 2: morning and come back by nine point thirty in the night.

7:02 Speaker 2: And along with this ie to run the ministry. I'm

7:05 Speaker 2: not kidding. It used to be so hard, I said God,

7:09 Speaker 2: Now the ministry has grown so much. I cannot take

7:12 Speaker 2: a chance on this. I need a job that will

7:14 Speaker 2: not choke my calling. I need a job that will

7:17 Speaker 2: support my calling. I need to have that flexibility and

7:23 Speaker 2: work liab balance so that I will be able to

7:25 Speaker 2: balance the work and the ministry, because you guys know

7:28 Speaker 2: that the Ministry right now, if you're checking this on

7:30 Speaker 2: the audio podcast now, the Ministry is with video every

7:35 Speaker 2: single day recorded at a studio. So I can't do

7:37 Speaker 2: all of this if I'm stuck with a job that's

7:40 Speaker 2: demanding more of me than a typical nine to five.

7:44 Speaker 2: And I said, God, you will open the right door

7:47 Speaker 2: that will not choke my calling. It was not easy.

7:51 Speaker 2: People said it's not going to happen, but I knew

7:53 Speaker 2: this was the vision God showed me this was the

7:55 Speaker 2: conviction got laid upon me. And I stood my ground

7:58 Speaker 2: against the attacks against people, saying I was, you know,

8:02 Speaker 2: too choosy, and I need to glower my standards and expectations.

8:05 Speaker 2: I need to understand the situation that people are losing

8:08 Speaker 2: jobs all over and I need to just expect to

8:11 Speaker 2: just take some job. I stood my ground and I

8:13 Speaker 2: said no, no, because my calling, my answer to God's call,

8:19 Speaker 2: is so important. I stood my ground. It was not easy.

8:25 Speaker 2: I have been through hell of a time. I'm being

8:27 Speaker 2: all in studio. People laugh mock loud. Ones were so

8:32 Speaker 2: mad at me for it. But seven months later, the

8:36 Speaker 2: Lord opened the door no man can shut. The Lord

8:39 Speaker 2: opened the door. I was like everything that I had

8:41 Speaker 2: prayed for. I'm so grateful to God. I keep saying

8:44 Speaker 2: thank you the Lord every single day for it. I'm

8:47 Speaker 2: telling you, when you stand your ground, you won't allow

8:51 Speaker 2: other voices to dictate what God has been speaking over

8:55 Speaker 2: your life. And I used to tell people no, God

8:58 Speaker 2: told me that the Lord will open the right door.

8:59 Speaker 2: Be People mocked at me. God keeps saying that look

9:03 Speaker 2: at your life, You're not getting a job. People laughed

9:06 Speaker 2: at me. People mocked at me. When I was sharing

9:10 Speaker 2: the visions God were showing. People said, Yeah, what's the

9:13 Speaker 2: big deal? These visions are not from God. Look at

9:15 Speaker 2: your life. It's such a mess. Forget about the visions

9:19 Speaker 2: from God and just get some job. I said, No,

9:23 Speaker 2: God is faithful. This is a word I want to

9:27 Speaker 2: tell you, guys. If you are serious about ascending the

9:30 Speaker 2: hill of the Lord, if you are serious about the

9:33 Speaker 2: climbing the summit of purpose that God has for you,

9:37 Speaker 2: if you're serious about climbing the mountain of a calling

9:40 Speaker 2: over your life, you must be determined to hear the

9:44 Speaker 2: voice of God and follow his leading, and be strong

9:48 Speaker 2: on your conviction irrespective of the people, whatever they say,

9:53 Speaker 2: irrespective of the noise around you, and then you will

9:58 Speaker 2: be able to fulfill your purpose and hear these wonderful

10:02 Speaker 2: words from the Lord. Well done, my good and faithful servant.

10:07 Speaker 2: How many if you're excited to know that, I really

10:11 Speaker 2: pray that sharing my testimony would have encouraged you that

10:14 Speaker 2: the Lord who made away for me to make away

10:17 Speaker 2: for you. In any area that you are standing your ground,

10:21 Speaker 2: you are hearing from the Lord. You are getting the

10:23 Speaker 2: conviction of the Lord to be firm. Maybe it's not

10:26 Speaker 2: a job for you, Maybe it's a life partner. That's

10:29 Speaker 2: another area I'm praying about. I know that the Lord

10:31 Speaker 2: will provide the right person at the right time, and

10:34 Speaker 2: I trust him for that, and I pray the same

10:36 Speaker 2: way for you. God would bring the right person across

10:38 Speaker 2: your path. Stand firm on your convictions, Stand firm on

10:43 Speaker 2: how the Lord is leading you. Hear his voice in

10:47 Speaker 2: the decision you need to make, whether it's a job,

10:49 Speaker 2: whether it's your calling, your purpose, your marriage, your future,

10:56 Speaker 2: anything and everything being led by Him. That's all you

11:01 Speaker 2: would see that you are able to assent the mountain

11:04 Speaker 2: of calling that God has since to offer you. I
