0:45 Speaker 2: Hello, rewind Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta podcast. If you've been checking out our episodes for this week, we're doing a series based on God's Word and clamming Mount Everest because May the twenty ninth, most likely I'll be releasing this episode on Mount Everest today because this was the day Hillary and Tensing where their very first push to the summit in nineteen fifty three. So there are so many lessons that we can take away the same way they climbed Mount Everest.

1:12 Speaker 2: You and I need to climb the mountain of calling that God has for us, the mountain of purpose that God has for us. And sometimes it's not easy to do that. And we are looking at various practical things to keep in mind when we are climbing or ascending the mountain of calling that God has for us. So today I want to talk about one important aspect. Right when you're climbing to the top of the Everest, especially right after Cam three, the weather condition is very unpredictable, and what happens is that the winds are very very strong.

1:47 Speaker 2: So even if I want to communicate with you, if I want to if I get an opportunity to go there, and even if I want to make a video right from there, you will not be able to hear anything because the wind is blowing. Even when you go to Camp FOURD, for example, one of the final camps before making the push to the summit, it's so windy you can't hear anything. It's so noisy, you can't even talk to the person in front of you. It's some place you just can't be. And you need to understand in the midst of this, there are people who are able to communicate, you know how they communicate with the outside world through satellite phones, or they also communicate with the base camp, and they share all the needed information about upcoming weather changes or pocasts or whatever that they're facing.

2:36 Speaker 2: It can be something sudden or whatever. All of this comes through the satellite phones or through the radio that they use over there. So I wanted to understand, right, you can't go by making decisions based on what somebody else is saying over there. You have to make decisions based on what you hear through the radio or through the satellite phone. Because I shared this with you in my previous segment as well, that this is a place where you can't even make rational decisions. This is a place where you can't even decide for yourself.

3:07 Speaker 2: You can't see properly. Your body's literally dying because this is known as the death zone, the zone where there's only one third of oxygen. What is over here when you're on ground zero. So here's the thing I want to understand. So in literal life. In literal life, you may be saying, John, you know what, I have a calling and a purpose, but different people are giving me different ideas. Somebody is saying I should do this somebody else is saying this will not work out. Somebody else is saying that, you know what, you're dreaming too big.

3:35 Speaker 2: Somebody else is saying that I don't have enough faith. So people may give you different ideas. They may say do this, do that, don't do this, or they may say certain things that they know out of their experience and their knowledge. They may be telling you something. They may mean, well, but I wanted to understand. They did not create you. They did not have the plan and purpose of God as for you. So you have to be in that position where you're saying, you know what, I'm not going to listen to this person or that person and the noise that's around me.

4:03 Speaker 2: I'm going to stay tuned to listen to the word of God, to the voice of God, so the same way they listen only to the communication that comes through the radio or through satellite. For you need to be in a place, the Bible says in Isaiah thirty twenty one, Behold, there's a voice behind you telling you which way you need to go, with a turn to the left or to the right. So I want you to understand you need to develop your work with the Lord, your relationship with God to a point where you are only relying on hearing his voice.

4:34 Speaker 2: You only rely on what the Lord is telling you. Even in the midst of all the noise, you hear the voice of God. In the midst of all the confusion. You bring clarity, or you get clarity from the voice of God. People may tell you one hundred things, but what is the Lord telling you? You need to pay attention to that. That is what will give you the grace to actually be successful in getting to the top of the summit. And like they go to the summit and they're excited, yay, I climb to the top of Mount Everest, You'll be able to go to the top of your summit of purpose and calling, and you'll be able to hear from the Lord saying, well done, my good and faithful servant.

5:17 Speaker 2: How can you do that when you cut off all the noise and you are determined to only focus and to obey the voice of God away your life. I want to share this personal testimony again with you guys, because I believe I've been sharing quite a bit of my person's testimony in this series, and I really believe this is going to encourage you and help you, because there was a season when I lost my job because of a mass layoff, and I did, and there are a lot of people saying, you know what, just get some job.

5:48 Speaker 2: There's intense pressure, immense pressure from people. People were saying, don't be choosy, just get some job. Life is more important. Ministry can take a break, you know, all of these things, different things people were saying over and over and over and over again. But I didn't have that conviction. In fact, the Lord showed me a vision right on the week. I mean, in fact, he showed me a vision two weeks before losing the job that I will actually lose my job. So I knew the Lord was leading. And so right on the week I lost my job, the Lord showed me at the right time, I'm going to open a door no man can shut.

6:25 Speaker 2: So I knew the Lord was going to do it, and he gave me the grace to stand my ground on my conviction. I said, God, I know I need a job because I'm an able to space engineer. Okay, I work and I've been running the ministry, and I said, God, I need a job, but I don't want a job that will choke my calling because I worked in jobs that have been so strenuous. I used to work for seventeen hours a day. I'm not kidding. Okay, there was one of the jobs where I've worked for five out years where I would leave home at five in the morning and come back by nine point thirty in the night.

7:02 Speaker 2: And along with this ie to run the ministry. I'm not kidding. It used to be so hard, I said God, Now the ministry has grown so much. I cannot take a chance on this. I need a job that will not choke my calling. I need a job that will support my calling. I need to have that flexibility and work liab balance so that I will be able to balance the work and the ministry, because you guys know that the Ministry right now, if you're checking this on the audio podcast now, the Ministry is with video every single day recorded at a studio.

7:37 Speaker 2: So I can't do all of this if I'm stuck with a job that's demanding more of me than a typical nine to five. And I said, God, you will open the right door that will not choke my calling. It was not easy. People said it's not going to happen, but I knew this was the vision God showed me this was the conviction got laid upon me. And I stood my ground against the attacks against people, saying I was, you know, too choosy, and I need to glower my standards and expectations. I need to understand the situation that people are losing jobs all over and I need to just expect to just take some job.

8:12 Speaker 2: I stood my ground and I said no, no, because my calling, my answer to God's call, is so important. I stood my ground. It was not easy. I have been through hell of a time. I'm being all in studio. People laugh mock loud. Ones were so mad at me for it. But seven months later, the Lord opened the door no man can shut. The Lord opened the door. I was like everything that I had prayed for. I'm so grateful to God. I keep saying thank you the Lord every single day for it. I'm telling you, when you stand your ground, you won't allow other voices to dictate what God has been speaking over your life.

8:55 Speaker 2: And I used to tell people no, God told me that the Lord will open the right door. Be People mocked at me. God keeps saying that look at your life, You're not getting a job. People laughed at me. People mocked at me. When I was sharing the visions God were showing. People said, Yeah, what's the big deal? These visions are not from God. Look at your life. It's such a mess. Forget about the visions from God and just get some job. I said, No, God is faithful. This is a word I want to tell you, guys.

9:28 Speaker 2: If you are serious about ascending the hill of the Lord, if you are serious about the climbing the summit of purpose that God has for you, if you're serious about climbing the mountain of a calling over your life, you must be determined to hear the voice of God and follow his leading, and be strong on your conviction irrespective of the people, whatever they say, irrespective of the noise around you, and then you will be able to fulfill your purpose and hear these wonderful words from the Lord. Well done, my good and faithful servant.

10:07 Speaker 2: How many if you're excited to know that, I really pray that sharing my testimony would have encouraged you that the Lord who made away for me to make away for you. In any area that you are standing your ground, you are hearing from the Lord. You are getting the conviction of the Lord to be firm. Maybe it's not a job for you, Maybe it's a life partner. That's another area I'm praying about. I know that the Lord will provide the right person at the right time, and I trust him for that, and I pray the same way for you.

10:36 Speaker 2: God would bring the right person across your path. Stand firm on your convictions, Stand firm on how the Lord is leading you. Hear his voice in the decision you need to make, whether it's a job, whether it's your calling, your purpose, your marriage, your future, anything and everything being led by Him. That's all you would see that you are able to assent the mountain of calling that God has since to offer you. I really hope you're blessed by this message.
