0:47 Speaker 2: the Soul with John Gifta podcast. If you've been checking

1:01 Speaker 2: our purpose as well. So today, one of the things

1:04 Speaker 2: I wanted to understand is that when you talk about

1:07 Speaker 2: Mount Everest, right, it is at over eighty eight hundred

1:10 Speaker 2: meters above mean sea level and about seven nine hundred

1:14 Speaker 2: meters above mean sea level. It is known as something

1:17 Speaker 2: called as the death zone. I don't know if you've

1:19 Speaker 2: heard of it, but it's called death zone because the

1:22 Speaker 2: oxygen level is only one third of what it is

1:24 Speaker 2: over here, and your body literally starts dying because you

1:29 Speaker 2: can't think properly. You can't the logical reasoning out there.

1:33 Speaker 2: You will not be able to make any good decisions,

1:36 Speaker 2: and your physical body literally starts dying. You can't see properly.

1:40 Speaker 2: You have to completely rely on the information and data

1:44 Speaker 2: that you received while you are still below the death zone.

1:47 Speaker 2: So this is a moment where people push right in

1:51 Speaker 2: the last moment where it's so strenguing and like they

1:55 Speaker 2: can't really focus, but they have to get it done.

1:57 Speaker 2: So from Camp four they go to the summit and

2:00 Speaker 2: they come back and they have to rely on whatever

2:04 Speaker 2: they've learned so far. They have to rely and just

2:06 Speaker 2: go by what people call us fate, a fate because

2:10 Speaker 2: it's like whatever happens happens, because the weather can change suddenly,

2:14 Speaker 2: there can be some disruption, or you could lose your

2:17 Speaker 2: life anything, they call it fate. So they literally call

2:19 Speaker 2: it at the dead zone. But today I wanted to understand,

2:23 Speaker 2: as we are something the calling over our life, the

2:28 Speaker 2: mountain of calling, the mountain of purpose over our life.

2:30 Speaker 2: In little sense, we would be going to a zone

2:33 Speaker 2: that can be called as the dead zone by normal people,

2:36 Speaker 2: but it will be known as the faith zone. That's

2:39 Speaker 2: what I want you to understand, because you see the

2:40 Speaker 2: similarity here. This is a zone where you can't go

2:44 Speaker 2: by what you see because your eyesight is actually affected.

2:47 Speaker 2: And the Bible says in Second Corinthians five or seven

2:51 Speaker 2: that you and I need to go by not by

2:54 Speaker 2: what you see, but what you can't go by what

2:57 Speaker 2: you see, but you have to go by faith. Right.

3:00 Speaker 2: I want you to understand this is a moment where

3:03 Speaker 2: if you're saying I want to fulfill my God given

3:06 Speaker 2: calling and summit the mountain that God has in store

3:09 Speaker 2: for me, you cannot go by what you see. You

3:11 Speaker 2: have to go by faith. This is no one has

3:14 Speaker 2: the faith zone for a reason. That's why I call

3:16 Speaker 2: it the faith zone. And you can't go by logical reasoning. Oh,

3:20 Speaker 2: this is how I reason things out. This is my

3:22 Speaker 2: rational way of thinking, my logical explanation over this situation. No,

3:27 Speaker 2: you can't do that when you are summitting the hill

3:30 Speaker 2: of the Lord, something, the calling over your life, something,

3:33 Speaker 2: the mountain of purpose over your life. See. It also

3:36 Speaker 2: reminds me of the Scripture. It says in Proverbs chapter

3:41 Speaker 2: three was five and six. When you look at it,

3:43 Speaker 2: it says, trust in the Lord, and lean not on

3:46 Speaker 2: your own understanding. In all your ways. Acknowledge Him, and

3:50 Speaker 2: he will direct your steps. It says something very profound,

3:54 Speaker 2: lean not on your own understanding. Right, if you're really

3:58 Speaker 2: serious about something, the hill of the Lord, something, the

4:03 Speaker 2: mounted or purpose that God has in store for you, you

4:06 Speaker 2: cannot go by what you see. You cannot go by

4:09 Speaker 2: your own thinking. You have to be completely dependent on

4:13 Speaker 2: the Lord. You have to be in a place where

4:15 Speaker 2: you're saying, you know what, it doesn't make sense. In

4:17 Speaker 2: the natural. People may laugh at you, people may market you,

4:20 Speaker 2: people may say, what are you doing with your life?

4:23 Speaker 2: It doesn't make sense. It may not make sense to them,

4:26 Speaker 2: But that is the calling that God has over you.

4:29 Speaker 2: So you need to be accountable to God and start

4:32 Speaker 2: walking in it. And for you to walk in towards

4:35 Speaker 2: the summit of purpose that God has for you, you had

4:38 Speaker 2: to understand that you can't do that by yourself. You

4:41 Speaker 2: can't do that by your own like, oh, this is

4:44 Speaker 2: the logical way of looking at it. This is the

4:46 Speaker 2: way I do it by you know, seeing. Say, one

4:50 Speaker 2: of the things not many people know is that I'm

4:52 Speaker 2: actually an aerospace engineer, okay, and I love aeroplanes. And

4:56 Speaker 2: here's the thing I wanted to understand. When you look

4:58 Speaker 2: at aeroplanes when they're flying in this the pilot doesn't

5:02 Speaker 2: look there and be like, okay, you know what, I

5:05 Speaker 2: think this is a place where we need to go

5:07 Speaker 2: left or we need to go right. Like, the pilot

5:10 Speaker 2: cannot make decisions by what he sees, especially if you

5:13 Speaker 2: see the aeroplane, especially when it's flying in the night,

5:17 Speaker 2: you can't see anything. Okay. Sometimes when a pilot wants

5:22 Speaker 2: to land the plane, okay, they may be able to

5:26 Speaker 2: get certain things by visually looking at where the runway

5:29 Speaker 2: is and all of that. But when they're flying, they

5:31 Speaker 2: can't just go by what they see. When they are

5:35 Speaker 2: in that altitude, right, Mount Everest is an altitude like

5:39 Speaker 2: how the aeroplanes are flying in the high altitude right,

5:43 Speaker 2: so you can't go by what you see. The pilot

5:45 Speaker 2: doesn't go by what he sees. The pilot cannot make logical,

5:49 Speaker 2: rational thinking when he's up there. He has to look

5:54 Speaker 2: at the readings on the parameters that are in front

5:58 Speaker 2: of him. You and I need to look into our readings,

6:01 Speaker 2: and that is God's word. And the pilot listens to

6:06 Speaker 2: the voice from the atc or he listens to the

6:10 Speaker 2: voice that he receives as communications come from the various towers.

6:15 Speaker 2: And I want you to think about this. You need

6:16 Speaker 2: to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit guiding you.

6:19 Speaker 2: I'm going to talk more about it than the next segment,

6:21 Speaker 2: but today I want you to think about this. Are

6:24 Speaker 2: you in a place where you're willing to go by

6:27 Speaker 2: faith to a place where you're saying it doesn't make

6:29 Speaker 2: sense in the natural, I'm not able to see away.

6:32 Speaker 2: I'm not able to make rational decisions by looking at it.

6:36 Speaker 2: I'm not in a position to do that. I'm just

6:39 Speaker 2: going by faith. I'm just allowing God to lead me,

6:43 Speaker 2: and I know that He will enable me to land safely.

6:47 Speaker 2: He will lead me to the summit that God has

6:49 Speaker 2: for me. Say, I want to just close with this

6:52 Speaker 2: example from my life. Right there was a season I

6:54 Speaker 2: was sharing about it even in one of the episodes

6:56 Speaker 2: recently that life just took a toe like I had

7:01 Speaker 2: a huge financial loss. Three months later, I had a

7:04 Speaker 2: job loss. Two months later, my help took on a toll.

7:07 Speaker 2: It was one after another. It didn't make sense. People

7:10 Speaker 2: were like, what's going on, what's happening with your life?

7:12 Speaker 2: Maybe you did something wrong. God is punishing you. People

7:15 Speaker 2: said all sort sustinct. But I knew my relationship with

7:18 Speaker 2: God was at the pets and I said, God, you

7:21 Speaker 2: know what. I don't understand it. I can't see it.

7:24 Speaker 2: I can't see anything. I can't make a rational decision

7:27 Speaker 2: because nothing makes sense in the natural. But I just

7:30 Speaker 2: trust you. I just go by faith. I believe this

7:34 Speaker 2: is the season as part of your plan over my life.

7:37 Speaker 2: I went by faith in this season, this is what

7:41 Speaker 2: is available. I focused on what was available in front

7:43 Speaker 2: of me, the courses I could do, the production quality

7:48 Speaker 2: that I was able to develop over the ministry, the podcast,

7:52 Speaker 2: the content, everything that I could do. I focused. People said, oh,

7:56 Speaker 2: you should focus on the things that matter. How you're

7:59 Speaker 2: not getting a job, You need this, you need that.

8:02 Speaker 2: But can I tell you something. I went by faith.

8:05 Speaker 2: It doesn't make sense. I can't make logical thinking and

8:08 Speaker 2: reasoning out of this situation. I'm not able to see away,

8:12 Speaker 2: but I just trust God. I don't go by what

8:15 Speaker 2: I see. I go by what the Lord says. I

8:19 Speaker 2: go by what he's showing me through his word. And

8:22 Speaker 2: I challenge you it's not an easy journey, but that's

8:25 Speaker 2: a part and parcel of our journey towards the calling

8:28 Speaker 2: that God has for us. And I challenge each one

8:31 Speaker 2: of you to be willing to step into that journey,

8:34 Speaker 2: to go by faith into the death zone, because I'm

8:38 Speaker 2: telling you, if you don't have faith, it's a little

8:41 Speaker 2: death zone. But when you go by faith and not

8:44 Speaker 2: by sight, you will be able to fulfill the purpose

8:47 Speaker 2: that God has since store for you. I encourage you
