Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John.
Speaker 2: Gift this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with
Speaker 2: John GIFTA podcast. I want you to remember that as
Speaker 2: we step into this month, you will see so many
Speaker 2: people redefining a lot of things. A lot of times
Speaker 2: people say, see how the world has evolved, See how
Speaker 2: progressive the society yes become. Things that used to be
Speaker 2: unacceptable are suddenly cherished and people are celebrating it. Things
Speaker 2: that our abomination to God's standards are such a thing
Speaker 2: that the Lord hates and detests are actually put on
Speaker 2: a high pedestal and said, you know what, look this
Speaker 2: person is so the confident in putting themselves out there
Speaker 2: in a way that they would never do maybe years ago.
Speaker 2: I want you to understand something very important here. As
Speaker 2: much as we love to celebrate certain things, Yes, this
Speaker 2: society has progressed in a lot of good ways, a
Speaker 2: lot of social evils have been dealt with, But sadly,
Speaker 2: a lot of people are going on the other path
Speaker 2: in terms of progression, in terms of evolution, and all
Speaker 2: of these in the way they think, to a point
Speaker 2: where things have gotten away from the standard that God
Speaker 2: has set. Say, I want you to understand the Scripture
Speaker 2: says in John seventeen seventeen that the word of God
Speaker 2: is absolute standard of truth. God's words should be our standard.
Speaker 2: As much as we love to trumpet the fact that
Speaker 2: the world has progressed and the world is accepting of
Speaker 2: so many things which are an abomination to God's standards,
Speaker 2: sometimes we have to be careful that just because the
Speaker 2: world celebrates something, it doesn't mean it's right. It doesn't
Speaker 2: mean that it is in accordance to the moral and
Speaker 2: ethical standards and the principles based on which God has
Speaker 2: designed for us to function. So today I want you
Speaker 2: to be careful because as much as you need to
Speaker 2: be in a position where you allow your mind to
Speaker 2: be evolved and the law to renew your mind to
Speaker 2: understand things from you know, having that negative mindset and
Speaker 2: areas where God has to develop you and all of that.
Speaker 2: There's a place for all of that, but you should
Speaker 2: also be careful that you don't deviate to a point
Speaker 2: where the Word of God is no longer the constitution
Speaker 2: of your life. I wanted to understand the same way.
Speaker 2: The constitution of a country is the skeleton or the
Speaker 2: backbone of a country. Every decision has to be made
Speaker 2: in accordings to that. For example, as a preacher, if
Speaker 2: you're in India, right, the Constitution says in article twenty
Speaker 2: five that you have the right to practice, profess and
Speaker 2: preach your faith. Right, So the Constitution is the backbone
Speaker 2: by which I'm doing what I'm doing. The same constitution
Speaker 2: prevents me like certain articles are keeping me away from
Speaker 2: taking the life of somebody else. I think, like article
Speaker 2: twenty one. So think about this for a minute. Right,
Speaker 2: it's the same way. The Constitution is the anchor. The
Speaker 2: constitution is the backbone, the skeleton for a nation. The
Speaker 2: Word of God should be the backbone and the skeleton
Speaker 2: for our life. Because as much as we trumpet things
Speaker 2: we celebrate. We will not celebrate if someone breaks a
Speaker 2: constitution law right. We won't celebrate when a ruler uses
Speaker 2: the constitution against the people. We don't celebrate that same way.
Speaker 2: When the Word of God is a standard, we should
Speaker 2: not celebrate anything that does not align with the Word
Speaker 2: of God, that's not aligned with the standard that is mentioned,
Speaker 2: does not align with the principles that are meant to
Speaker 2: be kept in the way they're supposed to be. Say,
Speaker 2: I want you to think about this in your life.
Speaker 2: Sometimes you may say, John, this is a generic stace sermon.
Speaker 2: It doesn't really make any difference for me. I love
Speaker 2: the Lord and I'm doing things Yes, maybe true, and
Speaker 2: I'm grateful to God for you. But I want you
Speaker 2: to think about areas in your life where you're making
Speaker 2: decisions that you think are in the Word of God,
Speaker 2: or they're based out of the Word of God, But
Speaker 2: are they actually based out of the Word of God.
Speaker 2: Maybe you could be just compelled or pressured or manipulated
Speaker 2: just by culture or edition or by family. There are
Speaker 2: a lot of people who fall into all of that.
Speaker 2: So you need to really re evaluate the decisions you make,
Speaker 2: the choices you make, are they lining up with the
Speaker 2: standard of the Word. Are they lining up with what
Speaker 2: God has intended in this word? Because people can twist
Speaker 2: the scripture. People can say one thing, t carry pick
Speaker 2: the word that they want and throw off something that
Speaker 2: they don't want. You have to be very careful that
Speaker 2: the Scripture says in two Timothy three, sixteen and seventeen
Speaker 2: that all scripture is of the inspiration of God, not
Speaker 2: some not the things you like, not a few of them,
Speaker 2: not all scripture. So you have to be cautious that
Speaker 2: though the entirety of the Scripture is the backbone of
Speaker 2: your life, every decision you make, every move you take,
Speaker 2: every choice that you are making, it should honor the
Speaker 2: Lord and stick to the standard that is prescribed in
Speaker 2: the Word of God. So I want it think about this.
Speaker 2: And one more thing I want to say is sometimes
Speaker 2: we are not intentionally going into deception. We're not saying, oh,
Speaker 2: let me get deceived, let me go and you know,
Speaker 2: fall into this kind of a scam. No, no, we
Speaker 2: don't do that, right. We say, oh, I'm a child
Speaker 2: of God, I read the word, I pray, I go
Speaker 2: to church. I love the Lord with all my heart.
Speaker 2: All of that is true, But sometimes what happens is
Speaker 2: we live in a society. We live in a world
Speaker 2: which tries to feed in propaganda through the news, through
Speaker 2: shows and programs, so many things. I still remember a
Speaker 2: couple of years ago, I started watching this show on
Speaker 2: the I think Amazon Prime or something, and it was
Speaker 2: a very good show. There were so many things that
Speaker 2: I'm still thinking back and saying how this was instrumental
Speaker 2: in me learning about God in a certain way and
Speaker 2: also to have that heart to live the life of
Speaker 2: purpose and all of that. It was good in its
Speaker 2: own way. But after a while, this show started bringing
Speaker 2: in propaganda, started convincing me of certain things which were
Speaker 2: against God's word. But it convinced me or twisted my
Speaker 2: mind to think that, you know what, oh, I should
Speaker 2: change my mind about this topic. I shouldn't think of
Speaker 2: it this way. That is too narrow minded. And it
Speaker 2: started changing my outlook of a lot of things to
Speaker 2: a point where I really wanted to think that certain
Speaker 2: things which are an abomination to God's word, I thought,
Speaker 2: we're actually fine. And then the Lord had to stop
Speaker 2: me and pause and re evaluate my choices because you
Speaker 2: never know. You may be watching something innocently, but the
Speaker 2: enemy is using that to twist your mind, to change
Speaker 2: your perspective, to make you think something which is a
Speaker 2: sin as if it's not a sin anymore. So my
Speaker 2: challenge to you today is before you watch anything, even
Speaker 2: as you step into this month and you watch, or
Speaker 2: you come across different propaganda and all of those things,
Speaker 2: or maybe you have close friends who are involved in
Speaker 2: things that you know are not the right as for
Speaker 2: the Word of God, I challenge you to be cautious.
Speaker 2: I challenge you to be filled with discernment so that
Speaker 2: you will make sure that you live your life not
Speaker 2: based on what the world says, but live your life
Speaker 2: based on what the Word of God says. I really
Speaker 2: challenge you to share this with someone who needs to
Speaker 2: hear this, and I also encourage you to leave a
Speaker 2: comment if you're checking this on YouTube or Facebook, and
Speaker 2: I will see you back very soon. God bless you.
