0:45 Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta podcast. All through this week we're looking at various aspects would regard to the Word of God, and today one of the things I wanted to understand is how the Word of God brings direction to our life. See. I want you to understand the Bible say in Psalm undred and nineteen one, not five, the diverd is a lamp unto my feet and the light onto my path. See. One of the ways to get clarity away your life, direction of your life.

1:10 Speaker 2: To know that God wants you to do certain things is to actually be in a place where you're having the relationship with God through his word. Because a lot of times people want clarity, they want God to speak to them, but they will never open the word. See, there are times God does speak through dreams, visions, and I believe in that. And God has used and spoken through all of those things, angelic encounters and through people through different things. God speaks through all of those things. But the underlying principle you need to understand is, even if God speaks to you through everything else, the word, the vision, the dreams and people and all that, it should always be rooted in the logos word.

1:56 Speaker 2: It should be rooted in the written word because people can come out and tell you the Lord told me this, This is the word of the Lord. But if it is not in line with the logos, the written word of God. Why am I specifying logos and the written word? Because I've spoken about this. I encourage you to check out the second episode on the series this week. But I told you the difference between the spoken word and the written word, because if you do not know the difference, you will always struggle to identify which is the word that will actually transform you and how to receive that word.

2:30 Speaker 2: I really encourage you to go back and check that episode out because it's so important. But first thing I wanted to understand, if you want God to speak to you, it will always be the Lord speak to speaking to you in the chordings, in line with the written word of God. See one of the times I had to go and minister in a certain place and there were a lot of people saying, don't go because it's dangerous. Because I want you to understand. As much as many of us watch or listen from the place of comfort like everything is great, you have the liberty to listen.

3:04 Speaker 2: Maybe you at the liberty to go to church. You had the ability to attend a service without any problem, But there are places where it's a risk. I remember I had to go and minister in a certain place and it was a risky place because the place has a lot of opposition towards Christian ministry and or activities, and there was danger involve I'm not denying that. In fact, when I had reached the first thing the pastor said was hope nothing happens. It was dangerous, but that's how God calls us to go into the danger places and minister.

3:38 Speaker 2: But again, I have to be wise, right. I can't just go to some place without getting the word from the Lord. How did I know that I had to go? I was asking the Lord for confirmation because there were different voices saying don't go. The Lord is telling me you should not go, and all of that, and I kept asking the Lord to speak to me directly, and the Lord led me to go and read through the incident recorded in Asks chapter ten, and if you look at verse twenty, the Lord specifically led me to that verse.

4:08 Speaker 2: It's a moment when Peter is contemplating when he gets an invitation to go and minister in Cornelius's house, and he's contemplating whether he should go or not, and the Holy Spirit speaks to him and says, do not hesitate to go, for HIRE sent them. So God used that word. The minute I read that written word. It was the Holy Spirit who led me to that written word. And from that written word came the rama word, the spoken word to me saying listen, that's the word for you. And he said, do not hesitate to go, for I sent you this invitation.

4:42 Speaker 2: The maid God told me to go. I didn't care a bit about anybody's opinion. I didn't care about who said what. There were those who even said that I was following the devil to go there, and Minister, you know, I didn't bother about it. I said, you know what, if God is asking me to do it, I'm gonna go. I don't worry because He has spoken to me through his word, through his spirit and gave me the rama word of confirmation that I should go. And Minister, I went to this place, ministered in this three day crusade, spoke to a lot of young people through the youth conference and to church and all of that.

5:19 Speaker 2: The Lord was in it, and the Lord's hand was powerful in that crusade and meetings. So that's what I want it to understand that when the Lord tells you through his word, his word will be that guiding force. So when God has given you his word, take it. God's word is available. A lot of people are running here and there. I want this vision. I don't I want that dream. See, God speaks through all of that. I love that. I love God speaking through dreams and visions. God has done that so many times. I love that I can talk to you so much about it.

5:52 Speaker 2: But I don't idolize that. I never say God, I will listen to you only if you speak to me through a dream or a vision. Now God, God can speak to you through anything. But the thing is this, The ultimatum is always you hungry to hear him. And how do you show that you're hungry. It's by you feeding on his word. You're being intentional and say, you know what, God, I want to read this word. I want to feed on this word. I want to receive this word. I want you to speak to me through your word. And when you do that, what happens That logo's word.

6:28 Speaker 2: He's not going to just be some information. God will speak to you personally and he will direct your steps. He will tell you go here, He will tell you do this, talk to this person. I still remember. There was a moment when I interviewed rather Sambuil than a current of the Jesus cost ministries. You can check out that interview on my YouTube channel or if you go down on the podcast platform. Here's the thing he said this how there was a moment when he wants to make a decision about a live partner and he was like, oh God, you know this particular proposal came, but is this what it is?

7:05 Speaker 2: It looked a picture perfect on paper, but he asked the Law to speak through the world. And he says how when he was reading the word specifically while he was praying about this, he got a worse which says, she will be detrimental, detrimental to your calling, or something on those lines. And she knew he knew that this was not the way supposed to be. And he said, I'm sorry, I'm not taking this forward. So you see how God will speak to you through his word, the right verse at the right time, the right word at the right time.

7:37 Speaker 2: I still remember there was a moment when my grandma became very sick at one point a couple of months ago, and we did not know what was happening because we had to call in the ambulance and rush and it was so scary. And I was there and I'm like, God, what do you want me to I mean, like, I started speaking in tongues. I didn't understand what was happening. Whether this was my grandma's going to pass away or is going to happen. I didn't know at that moment. The Lord put a worse in my spirit. I do not know what it is.

8:06 Speaker 2: It was just something very random. So I just Google to see what that verse was, and that was a worse that referred to God as the balm of Gilliad, which is basically how he brings healing. And I was like, I didn't expect a healing verse to pop up. I never knew this verse existed. I never knew this worse or the reference or anything. How did that happen? The Holy Spirit putting the right word and giving that words for assurance is I'm the healer and God healed my grandma at that point. See, that's what I wanted to understand.

8:44 Speaker 2: That is how God will spit you through his word. And when you allow the word to be the one guiding you, you will see God speaking to you, leading you, guiding you, giving you the direction, and you will be sustained by that word comes from the mouth of God. I really challenge you to make that intentional step this week to take the word of God most seriously and allow the Word to direct your life.
