0:54 It's wonderful for me to be back on this edition of the Fuel for the

0:57 Soul with on Gift Up podcast. And even as I just spoke to you

1:03 on my previous episode on making the most of the time that God has given

1:07 to you, you know, I was sharing with you two important scriptures efficients

1:11 five sixteen and Collosions for five which says that we need to make the most

1:15 of our time that God has given because the days are evil and we need

1:19 to be wise and not be unwise. And I was sharing with you and

1:23 I shared some things like you know how you can. You know, even

1:26 if you take something like you know, watching movies is your favorite thing to

1:30 do. I said, you know, if you can bring something productive through

1:34 that, it's good. But if you just watching watching and that's nothing productive

1:38 coming out of your life, then you need to be cautious because there's a

1:42 time to enjoy, there's a time to relax watching a good movie. There's

1:47 a time for things like you know, watching social media and browsing through the

1:51 net. But you need to also come to a place where you need to

1:53 understand that your life is not yours, but it's God's given life to you,

2:00 which means you are accountable for that. You are a steward of your

2:02 life and the time that God has given you, which means you need to

2:06 be productive with your life. You know, the scripture is very clear.

2:08 Jesus said, you know, a tree that does not bad fruit will be

2:12 cut off, which means that you need to bring some produce. Whatever God

2:15 has given you, the gifts he has given you, the talents he has

2:19 given you, the calling He has placed upon your life, is not for

2:22 you to just think that you know, what if I want or not,

2:23 I can choose. No, you are accountable to God for everything that He

2:29 has given you. And that's why you need to understand even as we are

2:32 talking about these things. Through these holiday seasons, you know, a lot

2:36 of you may be on vacation, a lot of you may be having leaves

2:39 and you know, just watching you know, Netflix, or browsing on the

2:44 internet all the time or on social media all the time. You know,

2:47 can I ask you? Can you be more productive with your life? And

2:51 I want to share this with you guys. You know, when when when

2:54 whenever you feel like, you know, doing something like in your life,

2:59 want to watch a movie or you know. I'm not saying don't have any

3:04 fun, Okay, do go out, have fun, go on a vacation,

3:07 all of that stuff, But listen to this cafeine. The Bible saysing

3:10 first Connthians ten, verse twenty three. I'm allowed to do anything. Okay,

3:15 I'm reading from the Nalty version. I'm allowed to do anything, but

3:20 not everything is good. I have the right to do anything, but not

3:23 everything is constructive. You need to understand that this should be our goal in

3:29 setting up and checking whether you should do something or not. Right, You're

3:35 allowed to do anything. You know, I'm not saying do something stupid or

3:38 do something that's known as a sin. You know, you can go and

3:44 watch a good movie. You can go and you know, have some time

3:47 with your friends. You can go and you know, beyond social media.

3:53 I'm not saying don't be on social media. But what I'm saying is you're

3:55 allowed to do that. But are you? But not everything has beneficial for

4:00 you. You know, like if you're just spending you know, all your

4:05 time from morning till night on social media, you wasted your whole day.

4:11 You didn't do anything productive, right, Or if you're just using all your

4:16 holidays and you know, weekends just with friends who are just you know,

4:21 like lazing around, have no purpose in life. You just wasted another weekend.

4:27 You could have done something towards your dreams that got placed in you.

4:30 You could have done something towards the promises that God has deposited within you.

4:33 You could have done something productive with your life. But today, that's my

4:39 challenge, before you do anything, Before you do anything, check is this

4:46 constructive? Is this beneficial? Is going to build up? Is it defying

4:54 I'm talking from different translations right, or is it something I can just ignore

5:00 because it's not going to add to anything. You know what I mean.

5:04 So today let this be your litmus test for you to decide have you going
