1:00 Speaker 2: Holy Spirit and various topics related to the Holy Spirit.

1:03 Speaker 2: First and foremost thing I want you to understand is

1:05 Speaker 2: that sometimes in some of the denominations and some of

1:08 Speaker 2: the church traditions and backgrounds, sometimes the Holy Spirit is

1:12 Speaker 2: just limited to just textbook knowledge. You know what, I

1:15 Speaker 2: mean like, Okay, the Spirit did this, or we need

1:19 Speaker 2: to be led by the Holy Spirit. They have the

1:21 Speaker 2: theretical knowledge. But I wanted to understand. The Holy Spirit

1:24 Speaker 2: is not just an emotion. The Holy Spirit is not

1:27 Speaker 2: just a feeling. This Holy Spirit is not a thing.

1:30 Speaker 2: The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity.

1:33 Speaker 2: The Holy Spirit is as much as real as God

1:37 Speaker 2: the Father and God the Son Jesus Christ. So you

1:40 Speaker 2: need to understand that the Holy Spirit is not something

1:44 Speaker 2: like you know, oh, it was just fabricated. It's just

1:46 Speaker 2: in the charismatic circles. No, the Scripture tells us over

1:50 Speaker 2: and over again about the reality of who the Holy

1:52 Speaker 2: Spirit is. So if you really want to live the

1:55 Speaker 2: victorious Christian life, if you want to fulfill the purpose

1:58 Speaker 2: that God has for you, so you cannot neglect the

2:02 Speaker 2: Holy Spirit. You cannot throw away the Holy Spirit and say,

2:05 Speaker 2: you know what, I just want to go into textbook

2:07 Speaker 2: knowledge of Scripture. I just want to go into this

2:10 Speaker 2: mode of tradition and culture and practices of the church

2:14 Speaker 2: and neglect and overlook the Holy Spirit. So I want

2:19 Speaker 2: you to understand today who is the Holy Spirit in

2:22 Speaker 2: your life? See first and foremost, let me tell you

2:25 Speaker 2: that the Holy Spirit existed right from the beginning. If

2:29 Speaker 2: you see, even in Genesis it talks about how the

2:32 Speaker 2: Spirit of God was moving on the face of the earth.

2:36 Speaker 2: So you have to understand it's not that the Holy

2:38 Speaker 2: Spirit came in only in the New Testament. No, the

2:41 Speaker 2: Holy Spirit has been from the beginning. So like you

2:44 Speaker 2: have got the Father, God, the Son, and the God

2:47 Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit, all the three of them have been

2:50 Speaker 2: together in unison right from the very beginning. All right, yes, sir,

2:56 Speaker 2: an example to help you understand the trinity. Okay, so

2:59 Speaker 2: when you talk about the sun or you talk about

3:02 Speaker 2: a candle, right, the sun is existing and from the

3:08 Speaker 2: sun you have heat and you have light. You take

3:12 Speaker 2: a candle, you have the candle in existence. You have heat,

3:16 Speaker 2: and you have the light. All the three co exist.

3:20 Speaker 2: All the three are individual elements, but coexisting. You can't

3:24 Speaker 2: have heat without the light. You can't have light without

3:27 Speaker 2: the candle. You get what I'm saying. On the similar note,

3:30 Speaker 2: you have to understand the Father, the Son, and the

3:33 Speaker 2: Holy Spirit have always moved in unison, all right. And

3:38 Speaker 2: the benefit that you and I have as believers after

3:40 Speaker 2: the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Is that

3:43 Speaker 2: Jesus said in John fourteen sixteen, He said, when I leave,

3:47 Speaker 2: it's a good thing for you, because I'm going to

3:49 Speaker 2: leave or give you the gift of the Holy Spirit,

3:53 Speaker 2: who will be your helper, your advocate, your counselor You

3:58 Speaker 2: have to understand the word help in the original Hebrew.

4:01 Speaker 2: If you see is the word heser is like, for example,

4:05 Speaker 2: you're not trying to figure life on your own. You

4:07 Speaker 2: don't have to figure life on your own. The Holy

4:10 Speaker 2: Spirit is the helper. He's going to come out and say, listen,

4:15 Speaker 2: is the right way to live a Christian, victorious life

4:18 Speaker 2: that you're supposed to live. This is the right way

4:21 Speaker 2: to go about in the way that you will be

4:23 Speaker 2: able to fulfill your purpose and the Holy Spirit will

4:26 Speaker 2: help you. My question to you is, when the Holy

4:30 Speaker 2: Spirit is available, why don't you make use? Why are

4:35 Speaker 2: you ignorant of him? Why are you not paying attention

4:39 Speaker 2: to him? Let this be a wake up call for

4:42 Speaker 2: you this week as we remember the Holy Spirit through

4:45 Speaker 2: the Pentecost Sunday. Let this not just be a topic

4:48 Speaker 2: for you to discuss or think about, but let the

4:50 Speaker 2: Holy Spirit become a reality over your life, so that

4:54 Speaker 2: you know, you come to that place where you're saying,

4:56 Speaker 2: Holy Spirit, I know you're real. Help me to understand,

5:00 Speaker 2: and you in a real deep fashion start developing your

5:04 Speaker 2: walk with the Holy Spirit. Now you may say, John,

5:07 Speaker 2: you know what I thought, I just have to have

5:08 Speaker 2: my relationship with Jesus. Listen to this Cathley. A lot

5:11 Speaker 2: of times we understand as kids, especially when you are

5:15 Speaker 2: younger or a baby Christian, we say prayer or salvation,

5:18 Speaker 2: Jesus come into my heart. You understand something. It's not

5:21 Speaker 2: Jesus who comes into your heart when you give your

5:24 Speaker 2: life to Christ. It's not Jesus who comes into your life.

5:27 Speaker 2: In fact, it is the Holy Spirit, because Jesus is

5:30 Speaker 2: seated on the right hand side of the Father, and

5:33 Speaker 2: that Holy Spirit is in you. The Bible says in

5:37 Speaker 2: Romans eight eleven that the same spirit that raised Christ

5:41 Speaker 2: from the day it lives in you when you are

5:44 Speaker 2: born again Bible believing, mountain moving, devil chasing, tongue speaking Christian. Today,

5:49 Speaker 2: my challenge is that you walk in that awareness of

5:54 Speaker 2: who's living in you and start developing that relationship with

5:57 Speaker 2: the Police Spirit. When you wake up in the mom

6:00 Speaker 2: and say good morning, Holy Spirit. When you are going

6:03 Speaker 2: down the road, driving or you're going for a walk,

6:07 Speaker 2: start speaking with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, where do

6:09 Speaker 2: you want me to go? What do you want me

6:11 Speaker 2: to do? What do you want me to speak to

6:13 Speaker 2: this person? Start developing that relationship with the Holy Spirit.

6:18 Speaker 2: And the more you start walking in that awareness of

6:22 Speaker 2: who the Holy Spirit is, that's how your life will

6:26 Speaker 2: make a difference. Because I want you to understand. For

6:29 Speaker 2: you to live the Christian life that God intended, you

6:32 Speaker 2: cannot do it by yourself by textbook knowledge alone. You

6:37 Speaker 2: need the Holy Spirit. And today let this be a

6:40 Speaker 2: wake up call from this day onwards that you will

6:44 Speaker 2: always walk in awareness of the Holy Spirit and start

6:47 Speaker 2: moving in the leading of the Holy Spirit. Even in

6:50 Speaker 2: the next couple of days, stay tuned because we're going

6:56 Speaker 2: Holy Spirit in our life to live the victorious life
