0:49 Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul of John GIFTAP podcast. I want to talk to you today from the passage that I've been talking to you for the past couple of days. It's in a very important passage, especially as we step into the new year. We talk about the aspect of new beginnings, and one of the scriptures that we often hear is from Isaiah forty three, Verse eighteen and nineteen. Basically, I spoke about verse eighteen in the last two episodes, and today I want to talk about verse nineteen.

1:21 Speaker 2: I want you to go back and check the various aspects with regard to verse eighteen, and today we're going to look at verse nineteen, which most of you might already know this. It's talking about a moment when the Lord says, behold, I'm going to do a new thing, and it springs up, don't you perceive it? But I love the message translation and I want to talk to you from the message translation, and this is what it says, specifically, be alert, be present. I'm about to do something brand new. Be alert, be present.

1:53 Speaker 2: I'm about to do something brand new. It's bursting out, don't you see it? You know. One of the things I want to talk about is that, let me give you an analogy. Right, So, this person I came to know was expecting somebody to come and give them a call and said, you know, we'll meet up, catch up, and then we can have a discussion about a strategy, a new strategy for their business and podcasts. And this is what actually happened. The person was disappointed because he was like, why isn't this person calling me, Why isn't this person, you know, like texting me?

2:33 Speaker 2: Uh and and he was so disappointed, and at the end of the day. He checks his phone and realizes that the other person had actually called them UH several times, a dozen times, and even sent him so many messages, but this person hadn't seen them because the phone was not on alert. The phone was on silent, And he was like, oh, my goodness, I missed an opportunity UH to meet with this person just because us my phone was not on alert. My phone was on silent. Many times in our life we are on silent mode.

3:08 Speaker 2: Regard to God. God wants to speak to us. God wants to tell us things. He wants to give us strategies. He wants to give us a lot of ideas and creativity. He wants us to, you know, do the things in the right way that will help us to see the success that we need to see in and through our life, so that we will live the Christian life that He wants us to live. But the problem is that, you know, we look at the aspect and take the promise of God and say, God, you said in your word that you will make new things in my life.

3:38 Speaker 2: You will bring forth new things. But I'm not seeing that manifesting in my life. You may be saying or from a place where you yourself are disappointed. Every year you're expecting that, you know, God would do something new, something brand new would spring up, but your life seems to be the same. It seems to be extremely mundane. But this is a scripture that I real really go back to, and I've been, like, you know, reminding myself of this. You know what, if God wants to do the new things, he wants to give the new strategies, he wants to speak to me.

4:10 Speaker 2: But the problem is I have been on silent mode, so to speak, where I'm not being on alert mode to listen to the messages, to listen and be notified of his messages. So today that's a challenge I want to leave with you right like you know. That's the reason I spoke about no the first part verse eighteen, which says, you know, forget whatever has happened. And also I spoke about, you know, stop going over old history, because only when you don't allow the past to define your future or to define your present, and only when you allow your mind to be free so that your mind is not constantly going over a whole history of all the hurts, the disappointments, and when you are alert and present when your mind is free.

5:04 Speaker 2: That is the moment when you can actually receive from the Lord. That is the moment when you can actually see God do amazing things and through your life. So today, that's the challenge I want to leave with each one of you as we move into this new year. I want you to have the right perspective. I want you to have the right attitude and the right mindset so that you will experience the new things that God wants to do and through your life. And I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you will experience new ideas, You will experience new downloads from Heaven.

5:36 Speaker 2: You creative strategic you know strategies. Is that that will really catapul to you to do levels of your destiny that maybe with regard to your dreams, your visions, your your promises, your ministry, your your calling, your purpose, your business, your or even it could be your marriage, your relationships, or anything for that matter under the sun. I pray that you know you will step into this new creative ideas that God wants to do and give you over your life, and maybe you will come back with a testimony and say, you know, the minute I let go of the past.

6:12 Speaker 2: The minute I let my mind be free, to be alert and be present. Look what the Lord did. He brought forth something new. I saw it, I perceived it, and I'm able to walk in it in Jesus' name. Emmen, God bless you.
