0:49 Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John gift of podcast where I want to talk to you today on an important aspect that I want to really encourage and challenge you from. It is found in Proverbs that in verse eleven, and this is what it says. Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. This is from the NIV version. When you look at the NLT version, it says wealth from get rich quick schemes quickly disappears. Wealth from hard work grows over time.

1:19 Speaker 2: I want you to understand today that you know, we live in a time and age where everybody wants instantaneous results, instantaneous growth, instantaneous fame, instantaneous money making schemes, and you know, there are so many things. Even the other day, I was talking to someone. He said, you know, I came across this feed on social media where they said, if you start a podcast in three months, you'll become a millionaire. John, You've been podcasting for a long time, and you know, are you doing the same.

1:42 Speaker 2: And then I said, listen, don't follow such get rich quick schemes, because, to be honest, I've seen people fall for this. I've seen a lot of people even in podcasting groups. I met with people where they say, you know, now, the reason I joined is because in three months I want a good watch, become a millionaire, and travel the world. And I was like, listen, this is something seriously wrong. A couple of years ago, I remember, especially during COVID, there were there were a lot of these advertisements on social media.

2:15 Speaker 2: I don't know if you've come across I'm sure you would have come across on social media, on uh on, on YouTube, you know, uh these uh source to speak you know speakers or motivation speakers or these passion uh prunners or whatever they call it. You know, I'm not saying everybody is evil, but I've seen a lot of people they follow these patterns. They say, you know, listen, I want you to listen to me. I have changed my life from this kind of a lifestyle where I was in this you know dungeon where I was living, or i was in this slum area, but now I'm living in this multi million million dollar home, or my life has changed completely.

2:59 Speaker 2: And if you follow and listen to what I've got to say, you know, in three months, I'm going to make you a millennire. You know, I've seen people do that. I've seen people fall for things like this. And there was a moment similar to this when I was in a place of desperation maybe I think in twenty nineteen, I ended up, you know, falling for something kind of similar but not exactly in terms of making money. But this is more about, you know, giving you opportunities to grow as a speaker. There was a you know, like something similar, you know, like making like you know, if you sign up right now, within the next ten minutes.

3:34 Speaker 2: This this course is going to change your life and things like that. And in that moment, I didn't know any better because I was in a place of desperation and and I felt for it and ended up with a lot of loss. Wented up with a lot of learnings through that program and things like that. Learnings in this sense, learnings not from the program. The program was like a piece of trash, but learnings in the mistake that I made right. See first thing I want to tell you, God will always use everything that he allows you to go through to teach you and help you grow.

4:07 Speaker 2: There is no doubt about it. But today I'm telling you don't fall for such things once you learn this is what it is. You know, after I went through that, I was able to guide so many people. I was able to want so many people who are going to fall into the similar trap. I went through another similar, kind of not similar. This was slightly different similar to what I'm saying. You know, this man who was preaching or not preaching, sorry, it's not a Christian thing. It was a motivational thing where he was saying, you know what, I changed people's life.

4:35 Speaker 2: My life was changed completely. But if you have to sign see the change. You need to sign up to my course. You know it is going to be available for you know, only limited time, but you need to sign up within three minutes. This is how they use all these marketing strategies which would word towards very similar to what happened. You know, like many of these people for do this, and so many people fall for it. I'm telling you so many people for fore it. And that's why the Bible says wealth from get rich quick quick schemes, you know, quickly disappears.

5:07 Speaker 2: And even in that, you know, like initially you may think like something is working and things like that, but you know what all of these schemes and when you see how these people do these dishonest way of you know, telling you stuff and promising you things, it will end up with you losing everything. You'll realize that even when you see sometimes you know, people suddenly they become successful overnight and you know, they try something and then it works, but then it is not giving them lasting results.

5:37 Speaker 2: I've seen so many people, you know, like they just follow some you know, stupid pattern and you know, in dishonest ways to make money. Of course I didn't go for those things. Just being clear. I just I want you to understand I didn't do that, but I've seen people do that and they they lose everything in a jiffy. Because you see, guys, I always say this. You know, your gift can take you to the throne, but only a character can help me keep the throne. In a similar ways, you know, when you find any way you can make the money, but if you are not making it with the help of God in the honest way, in the way it's supposed to be in, you know, with the purity of your heart, with the character that you need to have.

6:21 Speaker 2: If you're not doing that, it will just disappear. It will just you know, be out of you very quickly. That's why you need to be clear that you know wealth from hard work. I love how this Bible verse says, right, wealth from hard work grows over time. If you look at the NULTI version and in IV says whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. You see, you know we need to have that patience today, challenge you to have patience with your finance. Now you're not going to see big results in day one, little by little girl.

7:00 Speaker 2: Oh no, to be honest, I have so much of expenses with the ministry, and I always tell people, you know, if you're led to support the ministry financially, please do help, because I'm spending a lot of money, like for the most part, my own money in doing whatever I'm doing. I'd spend so many thousands of dollars every year, right, Like you know, I spend so much in the ministry. And I want you to understand that I'm not doing this because I have a lot of money. So still, as an individual you know, who is surviving, I'm like, you know, I'm trying to make it grow a little by little, little by little on my own, right, so I'm not seeing instant inous results.

7:41 Speaker 2: And I challenge you today right that you know you will go to that place where even if you're not seeing financial stability and growth immediately, it's fine. Let it grow little by little, and that little by little, over time you will see the results that you're hoping for. And I pray for financial stability over it and every person and listening over this podcast, that they will see the wisdom from God to grow their finance little by little from working hard and seeing the result and glorifying God.
