0:55 I just want to start off by shining a very familiar scripture with you,

0:57 and I want to think this forward. It is found in Psalms thirty four

1:03 was eight. This is what it says, both taste and see that the

1:07 Lord is good. Both taste and see that the Lord is good. When

1:12 you look at the different sensory mechanisms that we have in our body, the

1:18 most common ones that we talk about the sense of seeing you can see from

1:23 a distance, hearing you can hear from a distance, or smelling you can

1:27 smell from a distance. But when you look at feeling. You have to

1:32 touch it. But this one aspect that is the sense of taste, which

1:37 you can't just taste from a distance. You can't just put it in your

1:42 lips and taste it. You have to feed on it to get the taste.

1:46 The Bible does not say, oh, see that the Lord is good,

1:49 or just smell and see that the Lord is good, or just you

1:55 know, just the feeling see that the Lord is good. It's not just

1:59 something that you see from a distance or just on the surface level. But

2:04 you need to go deep. It has to get on the inside of you

2:08 for you to actually get the taste of it. Are you getting what I'm

2:10 saying. That's why the Bible is very clear. Or taste and see that

2:14 the Lord is good. A lot of people today, you know, vade

2:16 me tell the lawd tell them, you know, trust in the Lord.

2:20 You know God is good, God has a good plan for you, and

2:23 all of those things. You know. The problem for them is they're like,

2:27 you know what, I heard a lot of things about God, or

2:30 you know, in a superficial wall like yes, I have read the Bible.

2:34 I know, yes, certain things, But then when you look at

2:38 their actual life it's so shaky. Their faith life is so shaky. When

2:42 they actually go into trouble, they don't have any strength, they don't have

2:46 the faith, they don't have any ability to have any connection between who they

2:52 are and the faith that they proposed to have. So when you look at

2:55 that, there's a big question mark because they they're just smelling God from a

3:00 distance. They're just seeing God from a distance, maybe in the lives of

3:05 somebody else, maybe a testimony that inspired them, or maybe a message that

3:08 they listened to, or maybe they just went through some content on social media,

3:13 or maybe it could be even the fact that they're just taking itself as

3:19 level like you know, you know, a sense of feeling. You know,

3:23 they just read the Bible for getting their daily checklist done, or maybe

3:27 just prayed by closing their eyes but not really meant it. Are you getting

3:30 what I'm saying? See today, I want to ask you to introspect when

3:35 you consider your walk with the Lord. Is it something that you're teasted God?

3:38 Is he really something? Is it something that has gone on the inside

3:43 of you, really done an inside out work in you. I want you

3:47 to think about it. I want you to introspect this because this is something

3:52 so powerful. Guys, this is so needed because today a lot of people

3:55 are just getting to know about God from a distance. Today, I want

4:00 you to get to know God for yourself. I know some of you may

4:03 say, John, we're doing that. Maybe you're doing that well and good,

4:08 but this is just a reminder. This is something I need to do.

4:10 This on a very regular basis because a lot of people I know they're

4:14 Christians, they're involved in the things of God, they attend church, but

4:17 they're still not connected with God. They know about God, but there is

4:23 still do not know God. And today I want to encourage each one of

4:27 you getting into that place where you taste God for yourself. You see,

4:31 when I talk about some food, even if I keep it at a distance,

4:36 you can tell me the smell of it. You can look at it

4:40 and say, wow, it looks really good, or you can just keep

4:43 your hand and say wow, it looks hard and spicy. I mean,

4:46 I think it's really nice. But if I ask you for the taste of

4:49 it, you need to personally take the initiative of putting it in your mouth

4:55 and getting the taste. You know, I can't and nobody else can force

4:59 you to do that. Only you can do that. Only you can open

5:01 him up, and only you can taste and see that the food is good

5:05 in the same way. Nobody else can force you to like God. Nobody

5:10 else can force you to get to know God. Only you can do that.

5:14 Today, I pray every single person in this place we'll get to that

5:17 place where they're committed to say yes, God, I want to teaste you

5:20 more. I want to teaste you more. I want to experience and get

5:27 to do the place where I'm munch and chew and you know, get every

5:31 aspect of your awesome taste in my life. And I will say for Shah
