The Call of GOD Part 4: Why GOD Won’t Give You the Full Plan | John Giftah | GOD's Will Sermon Series
Tonight's Episode
Are you waiting for GOD to give you the A-Z of His plan before you move?Welcome to Part 4 of our series, "The Call of GOD: Walking in GOD's Will." We often think that if God is calling us, He should show us the entire map. But just like Google Maps doesn't give you the final turn until you've made the first one, God leads us step-by-step.
In this episode, John Giftah uses the life of Abraham (Genesis 12 & 22) to show that GOD often provides the "region" but waits until we arrive to show us the "mountain." John also shares an incredible personal testimony of how a "failed" meeting in university led to a series of supernatural connections that eventually opened doors to world records, national media, and television.
What you’ll learn in this episode:
Why GOD stays silent until you take the step of faith He already gave you.
The "Google Maps" principle of divine guidance.
How "random" encounters are actually GOD's orchestrated divine connections.
Why you might be stuck in "Verse 1" while God is waiting for you in "Verse 7."
Key Scripture: "Leave your native country... and go to the land that I will show you." — Genesis 12:1

Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John Gifter podcast. All through this week, we're looking at various lessons we can take away from the life of Abraham, predominantly on the topic of the call of God. And I really believe that this is going to help you if you are in this place where you're trying to understand the call of God over your life. One of the things we need to understand with regard to the call of God is that God is not going to give you all the details immediately.
Speaker 2: That is one of the things that we expect that, oh, if you're saying that you're called by God, where is he going to lead you? What is he asking you to do? And you may be in a place you don't have all the answers. See, when you look at Abraham, that's a classic thing you see. When God told in Genesis 12 verse 1, leave your native country, your family, your relatives, and... Go to the land that I will show you. God is asking him to do something huge. Even when you look at Genesis 22, when God is asking Abraham to go and sacrifice Isaac, he's asking him to do something huge.
Speaker 2: But if you notice, the parallel is that God is not telling him where. God says, I want you to go to the region of Moriah in Genesis 22. In the region of Moriah, in one of the mountains that I will show you again, God is not even telling him which mountain. It's like saying, I'm going to ask you to go to one of the mountains in the Himalayan region to go and do a trek or do a sacrifice. You'll be like, God, there are so many mountains in the Himalayan region. Or maybe you say, oh, maybe in the Kashmir part of Himalayas.
Speaker 2: Or in the Nepal part of Himalayas. Or the, you know, Sikkim part of Himalayas. Maybe God gives you, like the way God told Abraham, a portion. He gives him the region and says, region of Moriah. Or even here, you see, God is telling him, I will show you. But he doesn't tell where. He is not giving all the details. And you should be okay with God not giving you all the details. Okay? Because if you're saying, I'm going to take the step only when God gives me A to Z of the plan, I'm telling you, you're never going to take a step.
Speaker 2: If you're waiting for all the details for you to get started, you may have to start only after you go to heaven. I'm telling you honestly, because God is never going to give you all the details. God wants you to get started. And when you go to where God wants you to go, and when you are in the region that he has led you to, in that moment, he's going to tell you, this is the mountain. This is the place. You look at verse 7. The Lord appeared to Abraham when he was in Canaan. And he says, I will give this land to your descendants.
Speaker 2: And God is telling Canaan, Canaan is your land.
Speaker 1: Where?
Speaker 2: In verse 7. Not in verse 1. There was a lot that happened from verse 1 to verse 7. Before God telling him, this is the land. Today, I want you to understand today you may be still stuck in verse one. You're saying God is not showing up. God is not giving me the details. Maybe God is asking you to get started. Maybe God is asking you to take the first step. Maybe God is asking you to take that step for faith. Maybe God is asking you to start a YouTube channel. Maybe God is asking you to get started writing on that book.
Speaker 2: Maybe God is saying, take that step of faith into that ministry endeavor that he's asking you. Maybe he's asking you to just do the The foundation work towards that business. And at the right moment, he's going to bring the connection. At the right moment, he's going to lead you to the right place at the right time to give you the divine connection that's going to catapult you into the next level of your destiny. Today, I want you to understand you got to start with what God has given you. You got to get started before God gives you the next instruction.
Speaker 2: You got to keep moving because only then will you know what is the next move to make. When you take a GPS, for that matter, or Google Maps, when you're going from place A to place B, Google Maps is not going to tell you, OK, you know what? I want to go for two kilometers or for two miles. And then it's not going to tell you. Then take a left turn and then continue for 10 miles and then take another right turn. That's not what Google Maps is going to tell you. What is it going to tell you? I want you to keep going.
Speaker 2: I want you to keep going. And then what happens? It's going to be silent. Till you go to the next point where you need to make a turn, Google map is going to be silent. God is not going to give you A to Z of the plan. Google maps will not give you A to Z of the route. All it's going to say is get started. Take this left. Once you take that left, I'll tell you what should be done next. Once you make that move, I'll tell you what you should do next. That's what God is telling you today. Don't be in that place where you're adamant that I will not make a move without God leading me.
Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no. You take the step, God will lead you. You do. Because when you move by how God leads you, one by one by one by one, God knows how to connect the dots. Because He's a God who does that. I still remember when I was in the university, I studied in the largest Christian university in India, Caronia University. And I used to send these voice notes every day. That's how I started the podcast way back in 2012, around those times. And... I was just randomly walking by one of the places trying to meet someone.
Speaker 2: And sadly, that person was not there. And because of that, I happened to meet somebody else. And when I met this person, we just had a normal conversation, nothing me trying to impress or anything like that. And he came to know that I'm doing these kind of podcast episodes. I didn't know what it was called back then. I didn't know the word podcast. I called them audio messages. And he started listening to one of them as a sample. Not even the full episode. I think he just listened for maybe hardly a minute or two.
Speaker 2: But the point was the part that I played of all the episodes, the exact segment I played. minister to him so much that he said you know what this is so good john and he made some calls and in just two days or three days after that in the entire university even though students are not allowed to minister what he did was he made a call and made sure that i was the first student And for the first time, out of so many thousands, over 11,000 students in the university, he made sure that I gave the sermon in the university session.
Speaker 1: Okay.
Speaker 2: I'm telling you, it was out of the blue. No one expected it. Like just a random thing. But God was leading and orchestrating. And what happened was it is not something I can plan. It's not something like, oh, I would plan this or something. No, it just so happened. and people liked it i was invited again and again to minister when no one else in the university was allowed or invited i got this opportunity and you know what happened when i was ministering like that one time uh it so happened that we had the glorious in bangalore it's a famous choir in bangalore that team had come to bangalore i had come to minister in the university And the founder was there when I was ministering over there, which gave me a connection with him.
Speaker 2: So the next time I came over to Bangalore for a glorious concert, I was invited to meet with him. And when I met with him, you know what happened? Exactly then, one of the Indian Express journalists was there and he introduced me to him. And that connection actually played the role in me being featured on the Indian Express for my Scooby-Doo pastor endeavor and my collection and my world records. And that, in turn, connected me with the television and the studio opportunities that just... took off in a totally different direction.
Speaker 2: See, I know I'm going all over the place in my story, but think about this. Each one was like a random move. I can't make it. I didn't know that I was going to be allowed to minister. Like, I didn't plan on meeting that person. I was planning on meeting someone else and ended up meeting this person. I ended up playing the right episode that touched him to him saying, I'm going to make the favor for you to minister in front of thousands of people. And that video playing a major role in me getting connections on TV and YouTube.
Speaker 2: Like, Everything was interconnected, guys. You can't orchestrate it. You can't make it happen. But when you just do like Abraham, you take the step. All God led me was to start with the phone. He said, start with your phone. What's in your hand? Start with your phone. I started the audio podcast every day on the phone. Faithful with that. But one led to the other. Each one led to the other. One led to the next big opportunity. opportunity. And here we are 14 years into the ministry. See, that's what I want you to understand.
Speaker 2: You may not understand how God's going to lead you. You may not understand all the plans. You may not understand all the detours and the exact route God is going to take you through. But trust him because God knows how to lead you. At the right time, you will know this is the studio you need to go. This is the person you need to marry. This is the job you need to take up. This is the place you need to be in. And I'm telling you, when you just do like Abraham, you will see that the Lord is faithful in your life.
Speaker 2: I really challenge you to leave a comment and share this with someone and I will see you back next time. God bless you.
