Walking in Love – Part 10: Loving People Beyond Filters | John Giftah | Christian Sermon
Tonight's Episode
In this episode of Fuel for the Soul with John Giftah, we explore a powerful truth about Christian living: real love goes beyond filters. In today’s world, we filter everything — photos, conversations, relationships, and even people. But the love that CHRIST demonstrated was never filtered by comfort, convenience, appearance, or personal benefit.
Based on the powerful moment in John 13, where JESUS washed the disciples’ feet, this message challenges us to examine the hidden “filters” we often place on people. JESUS didn’t just serve perfect people. He loved messy people. Broken people. Even the ones who would betray Him.
This Christian sermon will help you:
• Understand what it truly means to walk in unconditional love
• Identify emotional and spiritual filters that limit how you love others
• Learn how CHRIST loved people beyond worthiness, comfort, or convenience
• Grow in spiritual maturity and Christlike character
If you want to grow deeper in your walk with GOD, strengthen your relationships, and reflect CHRIST more in everyday life, this episode will encourage and challenge you.

Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this session of the Fuel for
Speaker 2: the Soul with John gift of podcast. I'm going to
Speaker 2: talk to you today as we are doing the series.
Speaker 2: Today's part ten of the series on how you can
Speaker 2: practically Walk in Love. Really challenge you to check out
Speaker 2: other segments in the city because I believe that there's
Speaker 2: so much truth to look at. And today I'm going
Speaker 2: to talk about another aspect that we look at from
Speaker 2: a different perspective. We look at a aspect that is
Speaker 2: found in John chapter thirteen, when Jesus washes the feet
Speaker 2: of his disciples. Now, a lot of times when we
Speaker 2: talk about this passage, we talk about it from the
Speaker 2: sense of, see, Jesus was humble, Jesus was you know,
Speaker 2: in a place of serving servant toward or eid in mind,
Speaker 2: touching the feet of the disciples, and you know, he
Speaker 2: stooped down and all of these things. There's so much
Speaker 2: truth over there, and we have a lot to unpack
Speaker 2: from this. But in the line or the light of
Speaker 2: what we are talking about with regard to walking in
Speaker 2: unconditional love, walking in that love. And I was really
Speaker 2: intrigued when I saw about this revelation. That really caught
Speaker 2: my attention was See, I'll be honest with you, right, Like,
Speaker 2: I'm on media, so I'm really obsessed about flawless skin.
Speaker 2: I I do a lot of photo shoots, video shoots,
Speaker 2: and make sure that especially if you check out my
Speaker 2: part my videos on YouTube or Instagram, I try to
Speaker 2: do these high quality stuff because I want to. And
Speaker 2: I also take care of my you know, my physic
Speaker 2: and I make sure that to the best of my ability.
Speaker 2: You know, like this this flawless skin or whatever, you know,
Speaker 2: like it should look really good. It looks polished, it
Speaker 2: looks attractive. This is something that I really admire in
Speaker 2: other people. And I also love to make sure that
Speaker 2: I'm to the best of my ability. Following all of that,
Speaker 2: but here's the thing I wanted to understand when I
Speaker 2: looked at it in that angle. Great. Sometimes, you know,
Speaker 2: even my feet Sometimes I'll be like, you know what,
Speaker 2: how can I make my feet look more attractive on
Speaker 2: this camera angle or in this video, even if I'm
Speaker 2: wearing a sneaker or a shoe, or if I'm bearing
Speaker 2: maybe floaters or sandals, or if I'm barefoot. You know,
Speaker 2: I want to make sure that, you know, my feet
Speaker 2: look good, you know what I mean. And I was
Speaker 2: thinking that Jesus washing the feet of the disciples. Now,
Speaker 2: the disciples were of different kinds right somewhere really rich,
Speaker 2: like you know, Matthew the tax collector, somewhere like Judas
Speaker 2: who were already rich by cheating. Uh. There was also
Speaker 2: uh uh you know these fishermen, uh, you know the
Speaker 2: ones in you know, like the local low low uh.
Speaker 2: You know, positions of life, for statuses of life. And
Speaker 2: we look at all of these people. They were in
Speaker 2: different groups and categories or status. Go right now, just
Speaker 2: imagine the feet of these men, like first starters, like
Speaker 2: some of them, maybe they kept their feet you know,
Speaker 2: clean and healthy. Uh maybe for some of them it
Speaker 2: would have been messy, fungus in it or smelly, sweaty.
Speaker 2: I mean just imagine like rugged, like for like I mean,
Speaker 2: if you ask me, like if I were to maybe
Speaker 2: you know, Jesus touch the feet of someone you know,
Speaker 2: like over kept their feet clean and you know, beautiful, attractive,
Speaker 2: I mean I wouldn't mind, right, But think about this,
Speaker 2: A love that goes to a place which in which
Speaker 2: you can't predict, Like maybe if somebody's feet is attractive, great,
Speaker 2: but somebody else is maybe smelling somebody else's maybe so
Speaker 2: rugged and rough. Somebody else's may look very unimpressive. But
Speaker 2: I want you to understand that is a kind of
Speaker 2: love that doesn't filter people. That love that just stays pure,
Speaker 2: A love that goes beyond what you can see on
Speaker 2: the outside, A llaw that says, you know what, even
Speaker 2: if this looks messy a minute, because you know what,
Speaker 2: I walk by law. I was dead in sin, but
Speaker 2: Christ died for me. How much more should I be
Speaker 2: in a place where if somebody is feet is dead
Speaker 2: in stinkiness? Or it's smelly, messy? How much more should
Speaker 2: I be willing to get into the crux of people
Speaker 2: like because we love to associate with people or help
Speaker 2: people as long as they're in an okay position. But
Speaker 2: what if they're in a messy situation? What if they're
Speaker 2: in a smelly season of their life? Would you just
Speaker 2: write them off? Would you just say, hey, you know
Speaker 2: what your feet, I'm sorry, I'm not going to clean this.
Speaker 2: Would you do that? Or would you be like Jesus?
Speaker 2: Because I remember there was I think I've shared this
Speaker 2: many times, but even last year, I had, you know,
Speaker 2: a lot of series of attacks over my life. And
Speaker 2: one of the things is I still remember when I
Speaker 2: went through when things were fine, there were people who said,
Speaker 2: you know, I'm going to be there for you, We're
Speaker 2: there for your, rooting for you, all of these and
Speaker 2: anytime you're in trouble, be able there for you. But
Speaker 2: when I was actually in trouble, when things were smelly,
Speaker 2: things didn't look good, all these people just oh sorry,
Speaker 2: not now smelly feet and distance themselves. That's not unconditional low,
Speaker 2: that's not allow that God is called a still live.
Speaker 2: Why today my challenge to each one of you under
Speaker 2: the sound of my voices? Will you go without filters?
Speaker 2: Will you love people without filters? Will you love people
Speaker 2: even if it doesn't make any sense, even if it
Speaker 2: doesn't look good, even if it smells bad. Will you
Speaker 2: still choose to be by their side? I challenge you
Speaker 2: to do that. Amen, God bless you.
