Walking in Love – Part 7: Love Doesn’t Rush to Expose | John Giftah | Christian Sermon
Tonight's Episode
In Part 7 of the Walking in Love series, we explore a powerful and often misunderstood aspect of love — love does not rush to expose. While truth is important, CHRIST-like love is not driven by the desire to publicly reveal faults or shame others. Scripture reminds us that love covers, restores, and seeks redemption rather than humiliation.
JESUS Himself demonstrated this kind of love — even when He knew people’s weaknesses and failures, He still responded with grace and wisdom.
This episode helps believers understand the difference between healthy discernment and unnecessary exposure, and how love seeks restoration, not destruction.

Speaker 1: crazier and crazier. Ease your mind and take a break.

Speaker 1: in Christian discussions and interviews. You'll be inspired to live
Speaker 1: the life that you were created for. Your host is

Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for
Speaker 2: the Soul with John Gifta podcast. And as you would
Speaker 2: have seen, we're doing a series about how you can
Speaker 2: walk in unconditional love and have been sharing a lot
Speaker 2: of practical ways how you and I are called to
Speaker 2: walk in that love and I really challenge you to
Speaker 2: go back and check out other episodes in the series
Speaker 2: and other episodes in this podcast as well. But today
Speaker 2: I'm going to talk about one important characteristics to remember
Speaker 2: because I believe this is such a timely time we
Speaker 2: reminder for today that you and I need to operate
Speaker 2: from a place of love, and unconditional love does not
Speaker 2: rush to expose because today we are in a situation
Speaker 2: or in a culture where people, especially on media, love
Speaker 2: to go on this Oh I'm going to expose this ministry,
Speaker 2: expose this person. Wad I found dirt on this person
Speaker 2: and I can't wait to shout it on the rooftops.
Speaker 2: I want to go and tell the world world how
Speaker 2: bad this person is and crush them, and you know,
Speaker 2: make sure that every good effort they put in, maybe
Speaker 2: they did something wrong, but then they've done a lot
Speaker 2: of good. But let's crush them. Let's crush them ministry,
Speaker 2: Let's crush all their efforts. And this is what is
Speaker 2: predominantly happening today. But is that called unconditional love? Is
Speaker 2: that the way we are supposed to operate. There is
Speaker 2: a place for accountability, There is a place for you know,
Speaker 2: bringing out the truth. And even if you look at
Speaker 2: the scripture, the Bible talks about Jesus saying that we
Speaker 2: need to if he finds something. If you have an
Speaker 2: issue with a brother, you need to talk to them
Speaker 2: in private. But today's culture is all about posts on
Speaker 2: social media or go around trumpeting to the whole world.
Speaker 2: And is that a way even supposed to go about? No,
Speaker 2: And I'm going to share something very important for you
Speaker 2: a couple of scriptures, and I'm I'm taking it forward.
Speaker 2: When you look at John chapter thirteen, you know, if
Speaker 2: you see, Jesus knew what Judas was about to do.
Speaker 2: Jesus knew Judas in fact, even before, if you see,
Speaker 2: Judas was known as someone who was stealing money. Jesus
Speaker 2: by all means knew that Judas was stealing money. He
Speaker 2: didn't go around trumpeting all this Judas is a money stealer.
Speaker 2: How dare he steal money? He didn't go around announcing
Speaker 2: to everyone. Even if you look at chapter thirteen, he is,
Speaker 2: you know, even when people ask him, Lord, who is it?
Speaker 2: And what is going to happen and all of these things.
Speaker 2: Jesus is not going around exposing Judas. I wanted to
Speaker 2: understand something here, very very important. And also if you
Speaker 2: look at Matthew one, verse nineteen, there was a moment
Speaker 2: when Joseph came to know that Mary was pregnant, and
Speaker 2: Mary says, like, you know, it's through the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 2: Of course, Joseph did not believe right away, But I
Speaker 2: wanted to understand even then, what did Joseph do? The
Speaker 2: Bible says that Joseph was faithful, he was an honorable man,
Speaker 2: and what did he do? He did not want to
Speaker 2: expose her to public disgrace, and so he planned to
Speaker 2: divorce her quietly. Joseph was an honorable man.
Speaker 1: What did he do?
Speaker 2: Even though he I mean imagine if Mary was like still,
Speaker 2: Joseph was like, I don't know if it's true or not.
Speaker 2: And for his on his side, he thought it was fake.
Speaker 2: He didn't believe in Mary. But what did he do.
Speaker 2: He didn't go around trumpeting to the world. He didn't
Speaker 2: go around announcing, you know what, this Mary is a fraud,
Speaker 2: this Mary, this I found dirt on Mary, and here
Speaker 2: people go and stone her. That's not what made Joseph did.
Speaker 2: He was a honorable man, and he was faithful to
Speaker 2: the law. And what does it say he did not
Speaker 2: want to expose her to public disgrace, and he quietly
Speaker 2: thought of divorcing her. And also, if you see one
Speaker 2: more scripture that I want to remind you is found
Speaker 2: in a first speed of Fowards eight. It says love
Speaker 2: covers a multitude of sins. Now, what I'm saying is, see,
Speaker 2: I'm not saying, you know, accept you know sin, you know,
Speaker 2: like I'm not saying, you know, accept a lifestyle of sin.
Speaker 2: You know, everybody makes mistakes, right, I'm saying in the
Speaker 2: midst of that, can you be a person who's not
Speaker 2: jumping on the bandwagon of exposing and you know, creating
Speaker 2: division in the Kingdom of God and creating a ruckers
Speaker 2: and trying to you know, bring in more and more
Speaker 2: dishonor and uh, you know, even sometimes I've seen people
Speaker 2: may not agree with someone for a small doctrinal reason,
Speaker 2: but because of that they want the old ministry to
Speaker 2: be brought to not they want the whole ministry to
Speaker 2: be destroyed. They want to they a lot of times
Speaker 2: I've seen, especially on online, I've seen this people a
Speaker 2: low to just milk the minute somebody falls is maybe
Speaker 2: somebody got into a sexual misconduct or an issue, or
Speaker 2: maybe they had a fall or something happened. Maybe it
Speaker 2: was the person's mistake. Maybe, but yes, the thing, people
Speaker 2: a low to milk on it, you know, try to
Speaker 2: get views and try to build their ministry out of
Speaker 2: somebody else's fall and you know, or not just ministry.
Speaker 2: Maybe it's just that sense of gossip. You know, I'm
Speaker 2: telling you so many times, even in the recent times,
Speaker 2: I was so tempted to talk about a lot of
Speaker 2: current affairs and you know, to use that as a
Speaker 2: clickbait on may not be on the podcast but on YouTube, like, oh,
Speaker 2: if I use this, I can get a lot of views.
Speaker 2: But every time I was like, no, I'm not going
Speaker 2: to post just for views. If that message is not
Speaker 2: going to add value to people, if it's not going
Speaker 2: to make people pray, operate from a place of love,
Speaker 2: if it's not going to give in a new perspective
Speaker 2: so that people can think about and maybe calm down,
Speaker 2: if it's going to roll people up and just you know,
Speaker 2: and you know, more division, I don't want it. And
Speaker 2: I challenge you today in this case, even if you
Speaker 2: hear something about someone, don't go around trumpeting to the
Speaker 2: whole world. Don't go around creating more chaos, whether it's
Speaker 2: about a ministry or an organization or even a person.
Speaker 2: Don't tear apart someone. The honorable thing to do is
Speaker 2: like being like Joseph. If you don't agree with someone
Speaker 2: or something, if you're not able to understand what's happening.
Speaker 2: Don't expose publicly, just give it time and maybe distance
Speaker 2: yourself and let clarity come in. If it was not
Speaker 2: of the Lord, the Lord would not have convinced Joseph
Speaker 2: about Mary. Right. If God wants to convince you about something,
Speaker 2: if you are you know, too hasty, you wouldn't be
Speaker 2: able to handle it. Like imagine if Joseph trumpeted to
Speaker 2: everybody to maybe this blah blah blah blah blah, what
Speaker 2: would have happened? Maybe would have got killed even before
Speaker 2: Joseph could have you know, thought about it, you know
Speaker 2: what I mean, even if Mary was genuine. So that's
Speaker 2: where you need to come to the place where you
Speaker 2: should not rush to expose. But you need to operate
Speaker 2: from the place of love and calmness and be a
Speaker 2: person who's honorable. And then what happens when you're faithful,
Speaker 2: then God will lead you step by step and just
Speaker 2: a disclaim it again, I'm not asking you to agree
Speaker 2: with somebody's sinful lifestyle. All I'm saying is, don't rush
Speaker 2: to get into the bandwagen off gossip or get into
Speaker 2: this exposed culture. We are called to operate in the
Speaker 2: place of Love. Amen. God bless you.
