1:09 Speaker 2: want you to journey as we continue to talk about

1:12 Speaker 2: various other things that we can look at and unpacked

1:15 Speaker 2: and so that we can see. Even if it's a

1:18 Speaker 2: familiar passage from God's word, we want to look at

1:21 Speaker 2: it from this site to check if you're actually walking

1:24 Speaker 2: from that place or not. And today I'm going to

1:27 Speaker 2: talk about how when you walk in unconditional love, you

1:30 Speaker 2: need to be willing to go the extra mile. You

1:33 Speaker 2: need to be willing to go even if the work

1:36 Speaker 2: you do is not going to get you anything in return,

1:41 Speaker 2: and at the same time it means that it might

1:44 Speaker 2: cost you something. One of the things I want to

1:46 Speaker 2: talk about is from Luke ten. If you see the

1:51 Speaker 2: Purses from thirty eight is a moment where Jesus is

1:54 Speaker 2: talking about the parable of the good Samaritan. Now, we

1:57 Speaker 2: use this a lot of times to talk about We

2:00 Speaker 2: talk about are you a person who's willing to help

2:03 Speaker 2: someone and all of that. Yes, there is that service

2:07 Speaker 2: my mentality that we need to have. But sometimes you

2:10 Speaker 2: have to understand that you can do ministry, you can serve,

2:13 Speaker 2: you can do all of that just to get good results,

2:18 Speaker 2: just so that you can feel good about yourself, just

2:20 Speaker 2: to make sure that you are getting a checklist done

2:25 Speaker 2: on just so that you can say, you know what

2:27 Speaker 2: I've done some good stuff. Guys pay attention to be.

2:30 Speaker 2: You know, we can do all of that yet do

2:34 Speaker 2: it without love. And that's why I want to really

2:37 Speaker 2: remind you that yes, there aspect of service when it

2:42 Speaker 2: is regard to this parable. But I also wanted to

2:45 Speaker 2: look at the fact that this is an example of

2:48 Speaker 2: how this good Samaritan was also walking in law. You see,

2:54 Speaker 2: there were two others who came by that way, including

2:57 Speaker 2: a priest, but he just the man and he passed

3:01 Speaker 2: over the other side. Another levite also did the same thing.

3:05 Speaker 2: He saw the man who was attacked by robbers and

3:09 Speaker 2: lying there, stripped off his clothes, beaten, and he was

3:14 Speaker 2: half dead. And this priest as well as the levite

3:17 Speaker 2: levite is you know, like how you have in certain

3:21 Speaker 2: communities like a you know, like a priestly high order

3:25 Speaker 2: or higher cast or something something like that. Just for

3:28 Speaker 2: you to understand. So even people that we supposedly think

3:32 Speaker 2: that should help and should walk in love, what did

3:34 Speaker 2: they do Jesus? They just walked away. Whereas the good Samaritan,

3:39 Speaker 2: the Samaritan man who was not even off the lineage

3:42 Speaker 2: of faith, this man, what did he do? He seized

3:45 Speaker 2: this man who was lying down, came there and he

3:49 Speaker 2: took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged

3:53 Speaker 2: to his wounds, pouring oil and wine. Then he put

3:55 Speaker 2: the man on his own. Donkey brought him to an

3:58 Speaker 2: end and took care of him. And the next day

4:01 Speaker 2: he took out too Denarii and gave it to the innkeeper, saying,

4:04 Speaker 2: when I return, I will reimburse the extra expense you

4:07 Speaker 2: have on him. See, I want you to understand, this

4:09 Speaker 2: man had his own schedule. He was not there just

4:12 Speaker 2: sitting in laying eggs, doing nothing. He was there for

4:16 Speaker 2: an assignment. But when he saw this man who was

4:20 Speaker 2: in need, he didn't turn a blind eye. You see,

4:23 Speaker 2: today a lot of people are like, oh, you know what,

4:25 Speaker 2: I have a lot on my plate. I can't do this,

4:27 Speaker 2: I can't do that, I can't go the extra mile.

4:29 Speaker 2: But my question to you is, if you're truly walking

4:31 Speaker 2: in unconditional love, if you truly love the people that

4:34 Speaker 2: you want to minister too, if you truly want to

4:37 Speaker 2: be the light in the darkness in this world, my

4:39 Speaker 2: challenge is that you would be willing to go the

4:42 Speaker 2: extra mile, even if it means that there is a

4:45 Speaker 2: delay by the time you reach your destination, even if

4:48 Speaker 2: it means that there's going to be a detour. Maybe

4:50 Speaker 2: you need to spend some money, or maybe you need

4:53 Speaker 2: to be willing to encourage someone, maybe spend more time

4:57 Speaker 2: on someone just to make sure that they are in

5:00 Speaker 2: the right place. So I challenge you today to be

5:04 Speaker 2: willing to go the extra mile, even if it means

5:07 Speaker 2: that you need to pay some money. You know, even

5:10 Speaker 2: if you may or may not get back the money.

5:12 Speaker 2: Are you willing to do that? A lot of Christians

5:15 Speaker 2: are very stingy in that way. I challenge you not

5:18 Speaker 2: to be that way. Be generous. And here this man

5:22 Speaker 2: spent time, he went out of the way, He went

5:25 Speaker 2: the extra mile for the sake of somebody he did

5:28 Speaker 2: not even know. I want to ask you this question today.

5:33 Speaker 2: Are you working in this kind of an unconditional law

5:36 Speaker 2: which is not just bothered about yourself, but a llaw

5:41 Speaker 2: that says, you know what, I don't even know this person,

5:43 Speaker 2: but I'm willing to go the extra mile because you've

5:46 Speaker 2: Christ died for me while I was yet in sin,

5:50 Speaker 2: when I did not even know him, because I was

5:52 Speaker 2: lost in sin. If Christ who die for a stranger

5:56 Speaker 2: like me, shouldn't I be willing to go at least

6:00 Speaker 2: this extra mile for that stranger who's in need. See,

6:06 Speaker 2: I want to just remind you, like there at times

6:08 Speaker 2: I have a lot of things going on in my life.

6:12 Speaker 2: I have shared that as well. But if somebody is

6:15 Speaker 2: in need, they want to win, they want to talk,

6:17 Speaker 2: they want to prayer, they want counseling. I'm available. I

6:22 Speaker 2: say that, you know, as much as I'm able to.

6:24 Speaker 2: I'm reaching out to people, I intercede, pray. But the

6:29 Speaker 2: thing is is, you know, Like the thing I want

6:32 Speaker 2: to share with you guys, is that you know I'm

6:36 Speaker 2: here to say that I'm not just preaching something. I'm

6:40 Speaker 2: doing what I'm preaching, and I challenge you to do

6:44 Speaker 2: what you're hearing. Don't just be heros of the world,

6:49 Speaker 2: but also be doers of the same. And if you

6:53 Speaker 2: have that mentality to be willing, like even if it

6:56 Speaker 2: means sometimes you have to take an extra one hour

7:01 Speaker 2: and sit with someone who's in need, it's okay. Invest

7:05 Speaker 2: in people. Even if it means that you need to

7:09 Speaker 2: take someone out for lunch, or you need to pick

7:12 Speaker 2: someone up on the way and have a conversation with

7:15 Speaker 2: them when they are in need. That's the time you

7:20 Speaker 2: need to help them. There's no point in going and

7:24 Speaker 2: reaching out to them after everything is resolved. You know,

7:28 Speaker 2: everybody has issues. This Samaritan man was on his way

7:33 Speaker 2: for some task that he had to do, but he

7:36 Speaker 2: was willing to put that on hold, whereas the other

7:40 Speaker 2: two priests, and you know all these religious heads who're

7:44 Speaker 2: not willing to do that. My question to you is,

7:48 Speaker 2: are you willing to go the extra mile? Are you

7:51 Speaker 2: willing to do whatever it takes, even if it costs

7:55 Speaker 2: you something, but to walk in that uncontational law. Amen,
