Speaker 1: is a crazy place and it just seems to get
Speaker 1: crazier and crazier. Ease your mind and take a break.

Speaker 1: a hub for inspirational Christian sermons, practical keys for Christian living,
Speaker 1: and Christian discussions and interviews. You'll be inspired to live
Speaker 1: the life that you were created for. Your host is
Speaker 1: a top ranking podcaster, best selling author, world record holder,
Speaker 1: aerospace engineer, life coach, evangelist, and founder of John Gifta International.
Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for
Speaker 2: the Soul with John gift podcast. As you would have
Speaker 2: noticed from yesterday, we started this series of lessons that
Speaker 2: we can learn from the incident of Jesus coming to storm.
Speaker 2: There are so many things to un back and one
Speaker 2: of the things I was sharing with you yesterday was
Speaker 2: the understanding that you know, a lot of times we
Speaker 2: just say, oh my gosh, it's just a storm in
Speaker 2: a lake, what's the big deal about it? And we
Speaker 2: try to assume things without understanding the depth of the situation,
Speaker 2: the reality of the situation. I really challenge you to
Speaker 2: go back and study that, because I believe there's so
Speaker 2: much to learn about this lake. There's so much to
Speaker 2: learn because today, one of the things I want to
Speaker 2: remind you of, and I want to take this forward,
Speaker 2: is that when you look at the same incident, which
Speaker 2: is recorded across the gospels of Matthew Luke as well
Speaker 2: as in Mark, I mean Matthew eight, when you see
Speaker 2: verse twenty four, it says, suddenly a fierce storm struck
Speaker 2: the lake. Suddenly a fear storm struck the lake. Now today,
Speaker 2: one of the things I want to remind you is
Speaker 2: that when they started out, nothing was looking dangerous. Everything
Speaker 2: looked fine. Right. For instance, sometimes in life you feel like,
Speaker 2: oh my gosh, you know what, when I start the journey,
Speaker 2: everything looks good. You know, this is like a great
Speaker 2: thing to do. This is a great course that I
Speaker 2: always wanted to do, or this is a great person
Speaker 2: I wanted to marry and start my marriage or life
Speaker 2: or this relationship or or anything for that matter. When
Speaker 2: you start, it looks good. There's nothing scary about it.
Speaker 2: There's nothing like what you call us a red flag
Speaker 2: about it. And everything is fine right, And One of
Speaker 2: the things I shared with you yesterday was that how
Speaker 2: this Sea of Galley or the lake the lake is
Speaker 2: actually known as the Sea of Galiley. It's not a sea,
Speaker 2: but it's just this huge lake. And I spoke to
Speaker 2: you about the dimensions of the lake yesterday. But one
Speaker 2: of the things is that the topography or the geography
Speaker 2: of this lake was such that it was surrounded by
Speaker 2: these hills and mountains, because of which this charactery between
Speaker 2: the warm hair and the cold air, okay, used to
Speaker 2: cause sudden storms and fears hide Kane like situations. Okay.
Speaker 2: They used to be very, very scary, and they were devastating,
Speaker 2: all right, And they used to happen suddenly. They will
Speaker 2: come without any notice. And these fishermen where people who
Speaker 2: have been fishing here. They're professional people, they know all
Speaker 2: about it. But still they were scanned that they're going
Speaker 2: to be drowning because you see, understands something here. They
Speaker 2: knew the reality of the situation. They knew that this
Speaker 2: was not an ordinary thing. They knew that that this
Speaker 2: is going to kill them. Okay. But the best thing
Speaker 2: I wanted to understand is that in across every other
Speaker 2: situation of somebody crossing the lake and hitting the storm.
Speaker 2: The best case scenario was with these disciples that Jesus himself,
Speaker 2: the storm stopper, was with them in the storm. Okay,
Speaker 2: now just think I want to understand. I want you
Speaker 2: to remember the word suddenly a fear storm struck the lake. Now,
Speaker 2: what I want you to understand is a lot of
Speaker 2: times we think everything looks fine and we start going
Speaker 2: on autopilot, we start going by default mode. We're like,
Speaker 2: you know what, I can handle this, I can manage this.
Speaker 2: Need to depend on God more, you know what I mean,
Speaker 2: Like we we sometimes I mean, I'll be honest with you,
Speaker 2: I've made this mistake many times in my life and
Speaker 2: I keep going back. I need you to help me
Speaker 2: to depend on you because sometimes what happens is like, well,
Speaker 2: you know what one document Because I just want to
Speaker 2: let you know. Guys know right, I'm working as a
Speaker 2: as an engineer. I'm an aerospace engineer, so I work
Speaker 2: and I run the ministry. So when one document goes
Speaker 2: through and I'm like, oh, wow, I've done this job.
Speaker 2: You know. The second one, I start like, oh I
Speaker 2: can handle this, and then the Lord has to remind
Speaker 2: me or I have to come to that place like God,
Speaker 2: I need to depend on you again. I need you
Speaker 2: in every documented I write. I need you in every
Speaker 2: podcast episode that I record, you know, like, because these
Speaker 2: are sermons that I'm like, you know, I've been studying
Speaker 2: and I've been going and I'm like, God, Yes, these
Speaker 2: are powerful revelations. These are truths that have helped me,
Speaker 2: and I believe that they will help those who are listening.
Speaker 2: But help me to also be in a place where
Speaker 2: I'm dependent on you, that I'm not going into autopilot
Speaker 2: mode that you know what, Oh, I need to proveach
Speaker 2: a sermon and then that just takes something from my
Speaker 2: database of my you know, like fourteen years of ministry
Speaker 2: and just preach. No, I want to be dependent on you, Lord,
Speaker 2: I want powerful revelations that not only touched me, but
Speaker 2: will touch every single person listening. A challenge you to introspect.
Speaker 2: Are you on autopilot more? Or are you actually prepared
Speaker 2: for sudden storms in life? Because you never know when
Speaker 2: a psalm's going to come? You know, one of the
Speaker 2: things I keep telling about even Jesus, study what in
Speaker 2: in wine. If you see in John chapter two right,
Speaker 2: worse Tuesdays that Jesus and this disciples were invited to
Speaker 2: the wedding, and in verse three it says that the
Speaker 2: wine ran out. So when the wine ran out, they
Speaker 2: had a solution Jesus in the wedding. Like a lot
Speaker 2: of times, people think of God only after the wine
Speaker 2: runs out. They don't invite him before when everything is
Speaker 2: actually looking good. And here's the classic exact. The thing
Speaker 2: is this, here's the practical principle to remember. We never
Speaker 2: know when a storm is going to hit. You never
Speaker 2: know when you need a touch of a savior, the
Speaker 2: touch of the Master. You never know when you're going
Speaker 2: to hit a storm, when you're going to hit an
Speaker 2: iceberg in life, when you're going to need God to
Speaker 2: show up and show up. So my challenge to each
Speaker 2: one of you is be prepared. Be prepared because you
Speaker 2: never know when the storm, because it says it came
Speaker 2: in so suddenly. I want you to understand something here.
Speaker 2: You know, when you least expect it, suddenly things could
Speaker 2: go downhill and you need to be ready. You need
Speaker 2: to be prepared. You know, last year there was a
Speaker 2: moment I think I've shared this so many times, but
Speaker 2: I want to share a different perspective of this, when
Speaker 2: there was this master layer was happening across the organizations.
Speaker 2: And here's the thing, howbout you understand it. Everything looked
Speaker 2: fine in the organization that I was in, like to
Speaker 2: be honest with you, in fact, they gave us extra
Speaker 2: bonuses just two weeks before. Okay, they gave extra bonuses
Speaker 2: to everybody who's like, you know what, everything is so good,
Speaker 2: everything is so perfect, everything is like, there's no nothing
Speaker 2: to worry. And in two weeks everything went downhill in
Speaker 2: the chiffy. You know, everyone's like called in and said sorry,
Speaker 2: I mean, the organization is not doing well. Goodbye, you know,
Speaker 2: like it was a sudden joge, Like everything looked fine,
Speaker 2: but in a split second everything changed. You never know
Speaker 2: when suddenly everything would change, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2: Suddenly you would realize like, oh my gosh, this was
Speaker 2: my last Saturday year. Oh my goodness, like this this
Speaker 2: this person, when I met this person, this was my
Speaker 2: last goodbye. I didn't even realize that. You never know
Speaker 2: when a storm could hit. You never know how badly
Speaker 2: something could happen suddenly. I'm not I'm not asking you
Speaker 2: to live in fear, but I'm saying be prepared and
Speaker 2: for that you need to be in a place where
Speaker 2: you involve God and you're connected with Him all the time,
Speaker 2: and that's how you will be prepared to face every
Speaker 2: stormy life. Emmit, God, bless you guys.
